"This hotel oozes with unique character and style, is in the heart of the town and the manager is amongst the most helpful I have ever come across. We loved the atrium-style lobby (the central photo for the hotel) the bar stools made to look like champagne cork enclosures and the bedrooms with their unique themes, big comfortable bed and very cool bathrooms. The manager (Owner?) directed me to the perfect bar to watch the international rugby, the ideal route to go out for a run and even told us about the best place to visit when we moved on down to the Mediterranean coast, a fishing village that was simply beautiful and that I am not sure we would have found without is advice. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommend, but be warned, parking nearby is a challenge and I can imagine it gets much worse during spring and summer."

"The uncaring reception from the Manager/owner was unique in my history of staying in hotels. Will never ever consider returning to this hovel. Add to that the gastronomic speciality of the region, cassoulet, is the most drab and dreadful plateful of food I have ever eaten. Truly reminiscent of your average Frenchman."

"Lovely and relaxing stay, really well equipped for large groups to get away. Nothing fussy so an ideal choice for a large group with children - plenty of bits to explore and space to run around. Christian was really helpful and quick to respond to any questions, including introduction to chef Alain. Rafting near Foix recommended and a trip to Mirepoix market and the Carcassonne light show. "
