Clean. Supplied with a small bottle of fresh milk. Supplied with a packet of two biscuits along with tea, coffee and chocolate sachets. Good shower with strong water pressure. Comfortable bed although a little too soft for my liking. Compact room. Only one bedside table and a single seat lounge chair. No kitchen sink. Located close to a geo-thermal park so there was a slight smell of sulphur in the room. Overpriced for the compact room size, lack of kitchen sink and sulphur odour.

Super Clean
Everything worked and we enjoyed our stay. The room was super clean, updated, and very functional (hot water kettle, toaster, microwave). Would stay with Bella Vista again.

The property owner Pat is your typical kiwi good fella. Friendly, kind and good sense of humor. Made me feel super at home staying here. A ! Would recommend this place if you're visiting Rotorua!

We are a retired couple from Australia visiting NZ for the first time. We had booked this accommodation before leaving home, so hoped we had done our research well enough. We were not disappointed! Conveniently located close to the CBD, we walked through nearby Kuirau Park with its thermal springs to visit downtown Rotorua. The folk who run this motel are warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and well-equipped. With good Wi-Fi and Sky TV we were very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We stayed two nights at the Bella Vista Motel Rotorua during our New Zealand road trip. The motel is a pretty basic establishment good for those who won't spend much time in their rooms but need a nice place to sleep and shower. Our arrival into Rotorua was late, and we were super thankful to the manager for being willing to allow us to check in well after the 8pm limit. We weren't able to arrive until 9:15pm, and the manager had even been willing to wait as late as 10pm. The flexibility helped us hit all of our stops on what was a busy day before our check-in. The complimentary fresh jar of milk was also a great touch, and the milk was really delicious--very fresh and the best we had on our trip! The room itself is pretty basic and somewhat tight on space. Aside from the bed, table, and chairs, there was limited room to move around or lay out our suitcases. The bathroom is spacious but in a linear direction, with limited rack and hook space but lots of counter space. Our internet was suitable--not blazing fast but not particularly laggy. Overall, this is definitely a "you get what you pay for," but highlighted by service and accommodation that went beyond written obligations to allow us to get that much more out of our trip!

Checkin was seamless and room catered well for our stay. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning - room was extremely warm including bathroom. Fan available helped somewhat. Other than this, we couldn’t fault the place and was grateful that it was pet friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you

Unfortunately they must have forgotten about us as the room wasn’t serviced at all during our working week stay! Would have been good to have clean, dry towels and our coffee etc replenished daily.
