Great place
We had a great couple of nights here with our two teen boys and dog. It's a fabulous house - lots of space, good kitchen, secure storage for the bikes and fully fenced for the dog. V handy to the redwoods and the spa was lovely. Would gladly stay again.

Worked out perfectly
Our group of close friends have been riding mountain bikes together for 29 years. The house served our purposes with it's excellent location and comfortable facilities. Great spaces and nice to relax in the spa pool after a day of riding in the Redwoods Mountain Bike Park just down the road.

Great position as our purpose of being there was to do the Redwood Treetops Walk. I spent time cleaning when we arrived, table and bench tops were not clean and the living area was dusty everywhere. On the other hand the bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets were clean. The couple who slept in the bunk room said their bed was very uncomfortable, sore hips and shoulders in the morning.

Beautiful, warm and clean place to stay.
Close to town only a few minutes drive. Clean house. Spa was a treat, both kids and adults enjoyed it. House had dishwasher which made clean up easy. Washing machine and dryer came in handy with our 5 children and 5 adults. House is very spacious. Overall we all enjoyed our stay very much, thank you for the pleasant stay.

TV setup is amateur. I raised it with the property manager and apparently I don’t know how to use a remote, lol. Bathroom door locks broken. Multiple locked in the bathroom experience. House felt a touch dirty and the blankets on couches etc absolutely stank. Clearly don’t get washed. The good- had the heating left in for when we arrived which was nice. The internet is excellent. Overall- Pretty avg place.

Found the property exactly as represented in its photos and description. Was very clean, super warm and a pleasure to stay in. The spa pool was fab and on cold very wet afternoons (which was every day) was very much enjoyed. Located near the Redwoods and not far from the Blue and Green Lakes made it perfect for walking the dogs. Would definitly stay again if going to Rotorua.

Cosy warm family comfort
Although we had a lot of issues with dishwasher, spa pool the house is overall very comfortable and spacious for family. For the price I think you should seriously think about updating the beds to king size as both were uncomfortable and hubby had to sleep in the spare room as one was way too soft and the other way too small. The Management were helpful at every step when we encountered issues and fixed all the problems. The house is very cosy and warm and perfect for a winter holiday

Great Family Stay
We really liked this property. It was great for our group. Grandparents, 4 parents and 4 children ranging in age from 6 to 2 years. Our biggest criticism would be warmer bedding was required for this time of year. Some of our party were very cold as they had shared the extra bedding with the children.

Lovely stay right next to the forest
We had a lovely stay with just the right amount of space, the kids even had a dance off in the rumpus room down stairs. With A great park close by and the redwoods forest 2mins away it was perfectly situated . I would recommend this house to families wanting a comfortable stay.

An easy place to stay
Great for an extended family catch up. Rotorua is central for us to come to. Property was large enough to accommodate 6 adults and a toddler. Although tidy it wasn't so pristine that we worried about making a mess. House could probably do with a bit of maintainence as doors and windows were hard to open & close. But overall good.

House clean and comfortable, heating on for arrival much appreciated on very cold weekend. Spa hot but unfortunately no light for use at night which was when we needed it after a day of activity. This needs to be addressed as the spa was the reason we chose this property

Winter weekend adventures
Great place for an action packed stay in Rotorua. Lovely neighbourhood, immaculately clean, fantastic that we could bring our old dog. Only suggestion is extra blankets being available for beds (bit chilly first night as we turned heaters off). But great for our two families. Our boys (10-13) loved the bunk room.

Overall impression was good, good amenities and proximity to Red wood forest. Was some chewing gum left under bunk beds and tissue left in same room otherwise spotless. There were no lights out to the hot tub which is a safety hazard and couldn't see the extra foldout bed in the lounge or the dog bed it wasn't required but was advertised. Curtain rail in the bedroom next to the toilet was just hanging on as one of the clips were missing and the garage door didn't work consistently..

Thoroughly enjoyed our home-away-from-home for 4 nights. What we loved: - The spa. - The generous space both in and outdoors. - Ample heating options - The security of the property for our two dogs while we were away during the days. - Fast WiFi (fibre) - The quiet neighbourhood and nearby park for the kids. - The laundry facilities (washer and dryer) allowed for us to keep things turning over during what turned out to be a wet 4 days. - I left an item behind at the house. The staff were very helpful in retrieving and returning this to me by post. The only issues we had were: - Couple of cleaning issues (needed a quick vacuum upon arrival and the fan in bathroom needed cleaning). Raised these matters with staff and received a sincere apology. We did not hold this against the Rotorua Retreats staff or homeowners though as you can see that a lot of love and thought has gone into the home’s decor and design. This matter was to be addressed with the contracted cleaners. - Guest book WiFi instructions need updating. Rotorua Retreats staff were quick to arrive to assist us with connection issues though so all went well after that. Final tip to future guests in regards to garage doors. The switches for the automatic doors are to your left as you enter the garage via the interior access door. In other words, the switches are exactly where you would reach for a light switch. My sister was the first one to fall for this and we teased her about it only for me to make the same mistake the next day. We had our cars parked outside the garage so it was just lucky that our Holden’s bumper was solid enough to take the hit both times :) All-in-all, we would happily recommend this home to future guests. Thank you all for hosting our mob ;)

It would have been nice if property manager had been to the property prior to our arrival and turned the heat on. The instruction booklet was not on counter in full view. We had to call the property manager to start the heat. Replacement of large fry pan is needed in the kitchen. Otherwise everything else was very enjoyable!

Comfortable, quiet and clean
A group of us stayed at 'As you do retreat' for a mountain biking weekend. The house was great for a larger group of people with a good sized living area and plenty of beds. There is ample garage space for bikes and the spa was an added bonus to soak weary legs. Great location near the entrance to the Redwoods so no need to pack the car everyday. Thanks for having us.

Only small issues i had were: The wheelie bins were full and there was rubbish/bottles piled up on the side of the bins on our arrival. There are a lot of ants everywhere. The couch is flimsy and not in very good condition. But no major issues as we were happy with everything else

Nice place and well set up.
As You Do is in a good location and was well suited to our needs. The modern kitchen was great and the living areas were comfortable and well set up. The spa was nice and barbeque was useful on some hot days. Our only suggestions would be to provide some barbeque tools especially cleaning ones to make that easier and to fix the side door so access to cleaning the bikes was easier.
