"The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The views are exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had one of the larger rooms it was very specious and well appointed. A couple of minor points for improvement is that the water pressure was very low in our rooms and while we were there is was very unseasonably warm and with no screens the bugs do come in. Otherwise a great place to stay with a good restaurant and bar."

"If you reading the reviews, then please do not hesitate and BOOK NOW! The views across to the sea and the mountains are fantastic and the property is only a 15 mins walk from the ferry or the train station. Excellent bar but the accommodation is amazing. Lovely little en suite room with sea view and the cleanest bathroom ever. It is a big surprise to find a serve yourself breakfast dining room with an honesty box or pay in advance. Fantastic. Thank you to the staff, very helpful and friendly. BOOK RIGHT NOW!!"

"Excellent 3 night stay. 10 min walk from the station in the heart of town. Rooms were a good size, very clean & warm. Tea, coffee & hot chocolate plus bottles of water. Oh yes, chocolate marshmallows too. Lovely touch. The lady that checked us in was lovely. She also served our drinks later the same night. Again, the same lady was serving breakfast as well. Breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients can recommend"

"The hotel was in the most perfect spot! The bar on site was great with beautiful decor. The onsite restaurant was not good at all. It was overland the food was very bland. The only negative about the hotel is the shower. The shower is so small and the glass door is difficult to get in and out of. The room had cold ac which was nice."

"Our room was beautiful, cozy, clean, and we'll decorated. The staff were so nice and accommodating despite a flight change that left us checking in late and very hungry. They made us sandwiches and we're so kind. The location is wonderful and the property grounds are nice. Excellent breakfast. The continental was very well stocked and the menu items were delicious."

"The hosts could not have made us feel more welcome when we arrived. Darren and Karen are a wealth of information about places to go and see, locally and around Scotland. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Quiet surroundings made our stay very peaceful. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We will not hesitate to stay here again should we be visiting the area."
