Will stay again!
We booked this for our anniversary and were so pleased with our choice. This expansive property offers incredible sunrises and sunsets, a fully stocked kitchen, wonderful wood burn fireplace. I read 2 books during our 4 day stay while listening to the fire crackle. Great deck and veranda with grill. Everything was just as listed. The owner was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back and bring the kids.

Well equipped home
This is the best equipped home we have ever stayed in. From excellent kitchen pots and pans to a very well stocked library of books, movies and even Xbox games. We didn't play any games or watch any movies but they were there. We had an issue with the wifi but it was resolved extremely fast. Communications with the host were great. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway
What a wonderful home in a beautiful setting. Every detail was carefully considered making this a perfect home away from home. The home was lovely with a beautifully renovated kitchen, spacious living space and two main bedrooms was perfect. The hosts are so gracious and thoughtful. Thank you everything!

Peaceful mountain summer stay
We really enjoyed our month stay in August at Hatheway Haven. The house is very comfortable and backs onto the golf course which was both peaceful and great for walks in the evenings. We also really enjoyed hanging out on the back deck, listening to the wind in the trees, as the weather was perfect-about 8-10 degrees cooler than down in the valley. There are 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and a 3rd bedroom with a bathroom next to it upstairs. The house is set up really well for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped and very functional. The laundry room, mud room, garage, deck, and all the extra room we had were very nice. It was also nice to have a gas grill and thoughtful that there was an extra propane tank. There is a foosball table upstairs, a lot of board games and a large selection of DVDs. We also had Wi-Fi throughout the house. There are many hiking trails in Wintergreen, the AT and old AT are right there, and we drove to Piney River to bike on the Blue Ridge Railway Trail which was also very nice. Plus there are breweries, wineries, distilleries, etc. all around including the Devils Backbone Brewery which is close by, with good food and beverages. Also don’t miss Sweet Bliss bakery in Nellysford, next to the IGA, behind Chirios - great desserts, sandwiches. Gina Marie and their property manager Josh were both very good prompt and responsive with communicating with us. Highly recommend staying here!

End of Ski Season Weekend
Enjoyed a lovely family weekend! Home was nearly perfect for our group ranging in ages from 6 months to 73. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary items to accommodate a large family. The Pack n Play, Baby Bouncer, highchair and other toddler items were a big hit. We were able to use the garage for parking which helped out with our need to use multiple vehicles for varying arrival and departure schedules. Location was quiet and right on the golf course! Easy jaunt to the slopes as well. Property manager was responsive as well. Will certainly consider returning again.

Weekend getaway
We picked our son up from Liberty and came up for the weekend to have a time of reconnection and celebration (it was his birthday!). The home was absolutely lovely. There is plenty of space for sleeping, playing games and relaxing. We went out to the golf course (right out the back gate) at night to watch the meteor shower... It was lovely. We enjoyed a great hiking trail and beautiful overlooks. Truly it was a refreshing weekend! I highly recommend!

The best getaway house!
This house is everything you want it to be and more. Beautiful views of the golf course, lots of trees for privacy, completely upgraded gourmet kitchen, large deck with furniture for coffee in the morning, PLENTY of room to spread out! The hosts were exceptional, and we wanted for nothing! Would definitely recommend staying here and we’ll be doing so again!

Absolutely Amazing
We had an amazing time at the cabin. The kitchen has been recently renovated and is beautiful. They have also updated the living room furniture, which we so enjoyed with the fireplace. The communication with Gina was awesome. She was gracious and assisted with anything we needed. It was definitely one of the most wonderful weekends we’ve had at Wintergreen! We can’t wait to go again.

We had an absolutely fabulous one month long stay at this home. It is the best equipped rental home we have ever stayed at. Awesome place in the mountains!!!!
We enjoyed the property so much! It was a beautiful house with impressive vaulted wooden ceilings and skylights, so we were able to see the trees everywhere! I couldn't stop looking at the ceilings!!!!

Excellent house exactly as in the photos and description
Great experience staying at this lovely location and house. House was very clean and everything was in very good condition. The location has lot activities for all ages. The host guided us throughout our stay. They were very prompt to respond to any queries. I'd highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a great gateway. We certainly hope to revisit.

We aim for our guests to have a wonderful and memorable visit, so we were sorry to hear of your disappointment and that your stay was just ‘pleasant’. In our 17 years of renting at Wintergreen, this is first time we have had such a challenge in communicating with a guest. We always check-in with guest prior to their stay and call the house the arrival day to answer questions and do all we can for an excellent stay. The guest did not respond to our phone calls – only sending an email saying everything was fine… So, it surprised us to hear on the 4th day of a 7-day stay that the house was now ‘dirty,’ and the guest wanted a refund for duration of stay. We called, our maintenance owner called, and he would only respond via email. We sent our cleaning company ASAP to the house to address the concern; we learned what was ‘dirty’ was one hair in a shower, one bathroom floor not clean enough and that one toilet which hadn’t been flushed. Our cleaning company immediately re-cleaned the house (even made beds etc.) to ‘make it right.’ We even provided a partial refund, even though our cleaning and maintenance companies suggested that the complaint was out of context. With regards to the pool access, again with proper communication we would have been able to tell the guest that the pool was indeed open every day, 2 -8 pm (new COVID hours). We wish the guest the very best and a wonderful rest of the year; we recommend for any future VRBO stays to that he directly/better communicate with the accommodation owner for a better outcome for all.

This property was beautiful. The house is very spacious and there is plenty of room for everyone. This is a great place for families. There is much to do in the area and even more if you are willing to drive a bit. It was so wonderful to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living.

One of the very best homes I have stayed on VRBO. Owner reached out to me on day of arrival to ensure everything was perfect. Super gracious. We had 8 guests and the house was the perfect size for our group. I am handicapped and ride a scooter. The house was perfect for anyone with mobility issues. The passes that came with the house were a plus as well. Huge driveway which was nice when you have multiple cars. Will definitely rent this house again.

Enjoyable vacation at Wintergreen
Such a cozy house, feels like at home! If you are looking for the cozy home above the clouds - this house will be one of the best choice! We fall in love in it! We came from Florida for our winter vacation during February 7-10, 2019 and we are so happy with our choice. We were very well instructed per email, thanks to the Evolve Team. We came a bit earlier and it was no problem at all. The owner called us before we came to give us some heads up and to wish us to enjoy her home. She even suggested her wine collection she has at the wine bar. The house is very clean and very well prepared for a family vacation from the lining/towels to the kitchen spices. A big choice of DVD for all ages, a ton of books, games & toys for kids of all ages. We took a walk around - very quite and beautiful area, and if you will walk about a half mile up, you can see a beautiful mountains view. We surprisingly met three reindeers during our walk and our little one was so happy. Ski and tubings are so close - 5 min from the house by car, there is also a small store to buy some needed things or food (since the closest supermarket is about 25 min down from the mountain). If we will plan to come to Wintergreen some another time - this home will be our choice!! I want to send Our Big Thank to the owner and The Evolve Team for letting us to spend time in such amazing place!

Great Stay!
Home is spacious and clean with an open area for hanging out, playing cards, and watching movies. Has everything you would need for a winter (ski) or summer (golf) stay. Easy access, homeowners were great, everything in the home as advertised. Great for kids and families. Has plenty to do. Gina was helpful and available if needed. I highly recommend a stay at this location and would rent again. Thanks.
