Perfect location to see Rome. The room was very clean and comfortable and the mattress was comfortable as well. Restaurants within walking distance made it even better. I highly recommend this place.

Great Oasis in Rome
PapaVistaRelais was the perfect place to stay. Close to the Vatican, good coffee and gelato! Very friendly and helpful in answering any kind of question we had.

So close to everything and awesome staff!
So our travel itinerary got completely screwed up because of a cancelled flight, so we didn't get to enjoy our full time in Rome, but the staff at Vista was constantly in contact with us trying to make whatever they could easier on us. Stefania was so incredibly sweet and made it so easy for us to get in and out with our crazy arrival and departure times. I felt like I was talking to an aunt who really cared about me to make sure I was ok and would arrive safely. The room was also so clean and had everything we needed, not to mention the location -- SO close to everything. We just walked everywhere and used the train for anything that wasn't in walking distance. Easy peezy. Thanks Stefania and staff for a great experience!!

Excellent stay!
What a gem! After reading positive reviews I decided to book and it didn't disappoint. Perfect location for the Vatican, close to buses and the Metro and just overall great. Stefania was very friendly and helpful and the place itself was cosy and clean. The only downfall was the breakfast was a bit limited but that aside I would definitely recommend staying here!

A little gem in the heart of the city
Superb location right next to the Vatican yet quiet and calm. Stephanie lovely. She sees you as a person not a booking. Breakfast plenty of variety. Tea coffee available in room. Milk in fridge just outside room. Would recommend.

Home away from home feel.
I felt at home from the moment I walked ir. Stefania was so nice and helpful when i needed directions and anything else. The only thing i would cahnge is a more thorough spot cleaning of the bathroom. I mean corners, where the walls meet the floor erc. Places where not many people look.

Very Pleasant Stay!
Went with another couple and we all had a great time. More a B&B atmosphere than a hotel. Great staff working there to make our stay in Rome a very pleasant one. Excellent location for visiting the Vatican.

Nice hotel
It was conveniently located and easy to walk to st peter's and the vatican museums. Lots of good restaurants of all sorts were nearby they called a taxi for us. The place was nice

Unfortently you can think it is hotel ..but it is realy department that become rooms to rent for a day. Nice clean room. Bad enterance...no real lobby....basic basic breakfast. ...nice people in the desk when you come....the desk not always open close at night..

This is a B&B that I picked because of its proximity to the Vatican Museum. Literally is just steps away from the entrance to the Vatican Museum. The neighborhood is quiet and safe but there are no decent places to eat close to the hotel. The breakfast was complete but nothing delicious, just plain grocery store stuff. The room was clean but there was a lot of mold in the shower. Rome was very hot even by the end of September and knowing that is why we booked a place with A/C ... well having an A/C and getting a cool room are two different things. Our room was always very hot since the cooling system does not work properly. To make it worst, we didn't have power for many hours (including part of the night) and we didn't get any kind of refund or discount! I would not repeat this place nor recommend it.

Fantastic stay again at PapaVistaRelais
This was our third stay at PapaVistaRelais and it did not disappoint. It is in a great location and has restaurants, a great Carrefour supermarket and bus stop nearby. The Sit bus stop from the airport is a 10 minute walk or bus ride away. The staff are fabulous and really helpful and friendly. We took our daughters with us on our recent visit and they loved it there. The bedrooms are well appointed, with everything you need including a fridge, wifi, breakfast, tea/coffee, lovely bathroom. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Cozy and comfortable hotel overlooking Vatican
I've stayed at PapavistaRelais for three nights in July 2015. My overall impression of the hotel and its staff is excellent! From the first day till the last day I felt very welcomed and relaxed being there. Receptionist Lidia provided amazing service giving lots of tips on sightseeing in Rome, making arrangements for the early check-out and being very friendly and quick to help with any questions. Also the lady working on the bar was very kind and friendly. I've enjoyed the room I stayed in with nice views on the streets of Rome and Vatican Museum. It was designed with style and taste and had all the needed facilities in. The hotel felt not too busy at that time leaving much room for rest of customers. Being located very close to the tube station was convenient for a tourist and also had a lot of places to eat and shop nearby. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel with beautiful rooms and great staff at an affordable price.

Staying here was lovely! Perfect location right next to the Vatican Museum and not far from the Metro station. It was cozy and the front desk girl was sweet and helpful--she told us the very best place to get gelato! Our only complaints were 1) the bed was the hardest one we'd slept on out of six hotels we stayed at on our trip (though it was manageable), and 2) the maid service was always in our room--like three times a day! There was no chain to lock them out, so we would often use the Do not Disturb sign, but it was odd how frequently they came in. They always took the electricity card out when they were in our room, so we could always tell, and it happened more often than we thought was necessary. Other than that, the room was definitely clean from all those visits! And it was quite a pretty little place. Our favorite was the breakfast--it was excellent.

Cracking hotel
This place is right on the doorstep of the Vatican. On the 3rd floor of a block (there is a lift) it has a coded entry for when you get back of an evening etc. Staff very helpful on where to visit and eat etc. Room very clean and well equipped with sky and WiFi. Breakfast was continental and tasty. Room serviced daily and had air con. Bed was a touch soft and pillows a little lumpy but hey, if that's my only complaint then that ain't bad eh! Would definitely go back and stay here again.

Nice weekend in Rome
We spent a weekend in December in this hotel - it is located on 3rd floor in old building, around ~50m from entrance to Vatican Museums, around ~10min walk from St. Peter's Square and around around ~20min walk from SIT Bus stop (Transfer to Fiumicino airport). The hotel is very small (6 or 7 rooms) but it provides all you need during a stay in Rome: nice, clean, well equipped and quite spacious room with clean bathroom, good sleeping bed, free wifi internet, normal breakfast and of course really great and very kind service (e.g. our flight was much delayed and we reached the hotel in the middle of night, but there was no problem with that - we get all the instructions needed, and next day a warm welcome :). Moreover we were supposed to stay there in September, but we had to postpone our stay - fortunately the staff was very helpful in this matter). To sum up - PapavistaRelais is a good choice (good value for money) if you would like to stay for few days in Rome, in nice atmosphere, in safe neighbourhood and have all the sights not so far away from hotel... The only cons: shower gel enough only for 1 day.

Papa Vista is in a great location for the Vatican museum/St Peter Basilica/Vatican.The staff very friendly, helpful breakfast was provided with your stay. Papa Vista is a small establishment that allows the staff to know their guests by face/name it adds a more personal touch that was very nice. Transportation trains/buses was very close/easy to get around. Would stay their again.The rooms are a nice size the beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked but it wasn't terrible.

We got to venice and started looking for the hotel, nobody seemed to know that hotel, we walked and walked, and walked and after 2 hours of walking with our luggage up and down bridges and stairs, we finally found it. The first thing we saw was the horrible entrance to the building that appeared to be on construction, then I found out that the hotel was on the third floor, NO ELEVATOR and about 60 stairs to climb. I would definitely never come back to this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable
Overall I was happy with PapaVista. It seems like they only have six rooms, so it felt very intimate staying there. I really appreciated the umbrellas since it was so rainy during our trip. The hotel is really close to the Vatican, but everything else is a bit of a hike, or a short bus or metro ride.

Great B&B
I can not say enough about this Great B&B. We have stayed at several B&B's in the last couple of years and this one is at the top of the list. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. On mornings that we were leaving early for trips they prepared a breakfast tray the night before and left in our room since their regular breakfast bar was not open that early. The loacation was perfect for the Vatican Tour. We were at the foot of the steps to the Vatican Museum. Always helpful on mapping routes, transportation or whatever. Keep in mind that this is not the center of town but very close to the Vatican.We love to walk and covered most of Rome by foot from here. The Metro and Buses are only a few blocks away if walking is a problem. This place is one of the Best, and all of the staff will go out of their way for whatever you might need.

Wonderful Experience!
I can't say enough great things about the staff and accomodations of the Papavista Relais. I was amazed at the amenities included for such a reasonable room rate. But what really makes this hotel stand out and would make me definitely book it again if I am in Rome was the hotel staff. Due to Huricane Sandy we had a bunch of last minute travel changes and I was able to keep in constant email communication with them and they were so helpful, responsive and understanding. Since they knew the storm was causing us to travel for two days straight they even allowed us check in to our rooms at 6 AM (even though their normal check in time is late afternoon) for no additional charge. The other thing about this hotel is the location. You are literally right next to the Vatican Museums and in the middle of all the action of Rome. I highly recommend this hotel if you will be in Rome.

The staff at this hotel are far better than a 5-star hotel. Every single one of them went out of their way to be helpful and respond to unusual requests--and always with a smile and the feeling that they were glad you gave them the chance to help. The hotel is just about two blocks from the Vatican and also within walking distance of other sights. We had a fabulous stay!!

Haven next to Vatican
This is a delightful, tasteful, and accommodating small B&B literally a stone's throw from the Vatican City walls close to the Vatican Museum entrance. It's in an old building (this is Rome, after all) but the B&B is all new. Staff was delightful and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

QUAINT HOTEL, INCREDIBLE STAFF
Papavista Relais Rome is a 5 room hotel (i.e. Quaint hotel) very near the Vatican Museums. My family occupied 3 of the 5 rooms and found each to be spacious, beautifully clean with great AC and very nice bathrooms. Adding a mattress pad to improve bed softness would be our only suggestion. The wonderful staff makes this hotel special. Each of them made us feel as if we were staying in their home and had become part of their family. Many thanks to David, Grasia and Stefani for making our visit so memorable!

Great place to stay for a visit to the Vatican
My husband and I stayed here on our last night in Rome purely to visit the Vatican, we had spent time in Rome earlier in our Honeymoon & missed the Vatican. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great service and a warm welcome received by David on our first day. Free wi-fi and a great buffet breakfast. The staff were happy to hold our bags while we visited the Vatican and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Not a great location if you are wanting to see Rome city centre but really fantastic for the Vatican and that side of the River!!

Great service and close proximity to the Vatican made this a fine resting point. If you are not used to small hotels in out -of -the- way locations then you may find the initial incursion into the building in which the hotel shares it's occupancy with other tenants a little strange. Make sure that you know where the "underground" rail terminal is...it can quickly whisk you around to most of the "must see" sights of Rome, and it's only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. David and the staff were very attentive, the breakfasts were well-presented, the air-conditioning worked well, the bathrooms were modern and well appointed. My only gripe...and it is small, in the context of all the good things about this hotel, is that the rooms were a little small..but then you would be looking at perfect!!

A tasteful, cozy retreat
The staff were highly accommodating, and friendly. After a long day I felt very comfortable coming to the B&B, and speaking with the desk attendant. It is very small, only 6 rooms; I felt that i was staying in someone's home. My only criticism, is that it was very difficult to find. We could not find it on our own when driving, and even when we choose to take a cab from the nearby Vatican, my taxi driver was still confused; we passed the location several times until asking a local and finding that it is on the 3rd floor of a residential building.

Apartamenty usytuowane są bardzo blisko Watykanu i stacji metra Ottaviano. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Pokoje czyste zadbane i dobrze wyposażone. Na gości czeka butelka wina :) to bardzo miłe . Jestem bardzo pozytywnie zaskoczony i z pewnością polecam wszystkim.
