This trip was a short overnight visit with my daughter and grandsons. I had made a reservation for 1 room but when I arrived, I asked if there were possibly any rooms available that were connected. The desk clerk was not friendly and seemed really overwhelmed, but he did find two rooms that were connecting so I changed my reservation to 2 rooms instead of 1. According to the information on this booking site, we were supposed to be able to check in early 2 hours! That absolutely did not happen! The clerk told me he had no idea when the rooms would be ready, so when my daughter arrived, we decided to do some shopping and then eat dinner. When we came back to the hotel, we were given the keys. We soon discovered that the rooms were NOT connected! I talked to the clerk at the front desk and was told that the rooms that I requested were not cleaned. I would not have reserved 2 rooms had they not been connected. They seemed to care less about doing anything to correct the situation. When we went to the pool, we asked the clerk at the front desk about towel for swimming and they gave us 2 towels and said that we had to return them to the front desk after we were done swimming, or they would be added to the bill. Apparently, theft is a problem there because in the room there was a sign with the prices of any items that were removed. Absolutely no wall decor either. They certainly did not make us feel welcome! Probably a staff shortage but shouldn't of been our problem!
