We had a lovely few days relaxing in the countryside. Great property, lovely open space for kids to play and gorgeous peaceful views across the valley. We did a day trip to Paris, taking the train from L’Aigle. Check in and out very easy and Nathalie an attentive and helpful host. Would recommend!

So peaceful and hilly and pretty with sparkling clean interiors and comfortable beds. A large garden enjoyed by 2 dogs and lovely outdoor seating area and sun loungers.

We had rather nice weather and were able to enjoy the outdoor spaces of the property, taking all our meals on the terrace with a wonderful view overlooking the owner's horses peacefully grazing in the valley. The highlight, which we and our neighbors from the Airbnb tried not to miss, was watching the owner exercise some of the trotters, racing them on a small track winding through the fields—a very special experience. During the day, we explored the beautiful area around the cottage, indulging in cheese, cider, and Calvados. We will try to come back soon.

Nathalie welcomed us warmly and we felt immediately at home. Everything you need is in place, with a big fridge and a separate freezer. The house is well maintained and nicely renovated and very clean. The terrace (with large table) offers a superb view on the surroundings. However, as also can be seen on the photos, all rooms are connected: persons sleeping in the last room need to pass the two other rooms to get down, but the last room also has a separate toilet. You can immediately start a hike starting from the house in the beautiful region, full of suprising manors. As you are about one hour driving from Caen, you can also easily visit Caen and the MĂ©morial and the D-day beaches.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely setting. The hosts were friendly and very responsive. Bedding needs and towels were not provided as part of the rental and we had to pay an extra fee of 50 euro for sheets, pillow case and towels. We think this should be included in the description rather than provide this information shortly before rental date. Also given it was winter time and the radiator heat was not sufficient to keep us comfortable, we would have appreciated extra blankets. As such we had to wear layers of clothing. Otherwise it was a very nice stay, place was clean, nice kitchen supplies and we appreciated the prompt and friendly service of our hosts. We would stay again if the weather was warmer.

Un séjour merveilleusement agréable dans un gßte magnifique niché au coeur de la "vallée de la vie " et aménagé avec beaucoup de goût et de soin. De nombreuses activités balades et visites à proximité pour découvrir la Normandie.. Ce gĂźte est absolument fabuleux. En pleine nature, dans la vallĂ©e de la Vie, c'est idĂ©al pour se reposer, se ressourcer, avec chevaux, vaches... Ă  proximitĂ©. Le lieu est exceptionnel par sa tranquillitĂ© et sa beautĂ© ; mĂȘme si la 'ville' n'est pas si loin pour trouver toutes les commoditĂ©s. Le gĂźte est conforme aux photos et bien agencĂ© pour une famille avec enfants. Il est bien Ă©quipĂ©, il ne manque rien. Un grand merci a Nathalie et BenoĂźt pour leur gentillesse et leur accueil ; et d'avoir Ă©changĂ© avec nous sur leur passion et amour du monde Ă©questre. TrĂšs disponible et arrangeant ; la communication s'est faite sans problĂšme. Je recommande vraiment ce lieu a qui recherche un endroit paisible oĂč faire une pause nature !

Nous avons passĂ© une semaine magnifique et paisible prĂšs de Roiville. La maison est chaleureuse, propre et parfaitement renovĂ©e. Il ne manque rien, tout le matĂ©riel est neuf et de trĂšs bonne qualitĂ© (la connexion wifi est Ă©galement excellente). On s'y trouve totalement au calme, car la maison est en pleine campagne et ne se situe pas sur une route frĂ©quentĂ©e. Le jardin est trĂšs spacieux et offre de trĂšs belles vues sur le paysage autour et sur le coucher de soleil. Les enfants ont adorĂ© le trampoline et la possibilitĂ© de profiter de la grande pelouse. La maison est Ă©galement trĂšs bien situĂ©e pour faire des excursions aux alentours (par exemple Ă  Camembert, Livarot, Lisieux, Falaise, au parc d'immersion RustiK, Ă  ClĂ©cy, et mĂȘme Ă  la cĂŽte avec Deauville et Trouville). Il y a plusieurs fermes dans les environs qui proposent des produits du terroir (fromage, produits laitiers, cidre, etc.). Nous avons Ă©galement Ă©tĂ© trĂšs bien accueillis par les propriĂ©taires de la maison, nous espĂ©rons revenir prochainement, et nous recommandons vivement cette belle location de vacances.

Nous avons passĂ© un bon moment en famille dans un cadre magnifique : belle maison typique de la rĂ©gion avec une vue imprenable sur la vallĂ©e et les prairies Ă  chevaux. Wir haben eine wunderschöne Aprilwoche in diesem Haus verbracht. Trotz teils nasskalter Witterung war das Haus warm, trocken und gemĂŒtlich. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Frau Vallette hat uns sehr gut in das Haus eingefĂŒhrt und uns jede Menge tolle Tipps mitgegeben (Marktbesucht in Saint-Pierre-Sur-Dives, gute Restaurants in der nĂ€heren Umgebung und einen Besuch der nahegelegenen Ciderie mit Verkostung - unbedingt zu empfehlen). Das Haus ist zauberhaft eingerichtet, die Dusche ist fabelhaft, in der KĂŒche ist alles da, was es braucht, um sich jede erdenkbare Mahlzeit zuzubereiten und die Betten sind sehr gut. Überhaupt sind die SchlafrĂ€ume im Obergeschoss sehr gemĂŒtlich. Und die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Angefangen mit den Pferden direkt hinterm Haus, lassen sich aber auch problemlos Hasen und Rehe vom KĂŒchenfenster aus beobachten. Wer Abgeschiedenheit, Ruhe und Natur sucht, wird es hier genießen - wie wir es auch getan haben!

Lovely cottage/ house located about 10km from Vimoutiers. Much larger than we had anticipated. Modern, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, with three bedrooms upstairs. Prior to our arrival we were sent a Google map which was much appreciated as the property is down a narrow lane and would not have been easy to find. Nathalie met us shortly after our arrival to show us round. There were clear instructions (in French) as to the departure process (including rubbish disposal). The garden is very large and has a trampoline, swings etc for children. Fabulous views over the valley & down to Vimoutiers. Vimoutiers has a large and well stocked Carrefour supermarket. We can also recommend the La Binome restaurant where most of the produce is locally sourced (booking advised at the weekend). Cider, Pommeau, calvados & apple juice can be purchased down the road at Les Vergers du Chouquet. An excellent location for exploring Normandie; we went to Bayeux, Cabourg, Rouen, Giverny (Monet's house & garden), and Etretat as well as doing some walking in the Swiss Normande (maps (with directions in French) can be purchased from the local tourist office). A great area for cycling especially if you like long, steep hills with double digit gradients (Roiville & Crouttes about 15%). Note: bed linen and towels can be purchased at extra cost from the hosts, otherwise you will need to bring your own.

Equilibre parfait entre un campagne apaisante, vivifiante et tous les services qu'on peut attendre d une résidence de vacances cosy.
