Welcome to your next adventure headquarters! Carrie`s Cottage is nestled in the heart of Red River Gorge, KY. This wonderful, country cottage will have you feeling right at home. Gift yourself, and your party, true seclusion that not many people in Red River Gorge get to experience. Find yourself relaxing on the porch swing, reading one of the numerous books available from this cabin owner`s massive collection. Finish off your day by easing into the bubbly hot tub and let nature work its magic.

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (standard coffee maker, microwave, oven), hot tub, satellite TV, charcoal grill, fire pit, covered deck, washer/dryer, and more!
- Sleeping Accommodations: Bedroom 1: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Air Mattress

- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos and conditioners, 3 bar soaps, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) You will also need to bring your own firewood and charcoal for the grill. Please purchase firewood locally.
- 4WD is encouraged. Limited parking; vehicles exceeding 2 please park at the local park and ride and carpool to the cabin. Trailers prohibited.
- Prime Red River Gorge location! 10 minute drive to Natural Bridge State Park and 20 minutes to the famous Nada Tunnel. Close by are plenty of other activities such as horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, restaurants, and more!

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Perfect escape for family or friends

Great quiet place

Had a great stay at this house. Very secluded and quiet on 75 acres where you have free access to go for hikes. Very peaceful and quiet here. It snowed during our week and the owner was there to plow for us and at one point I was doing something wrong with the electronic deadbolt and the owner was there within five minutes to help me. Being in the hot tub on the chilly nights was so nice. The house is very clean and completely stocked with anything you would need for your vacation..would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great location!!

Carry’s cottage was perfect for the few days my wife and I were there. There were several fine restaurants nearby and of course the state park was a short drive away. We made use of the fire pit and the back deck on the perfect weather evenings we enjoyed. We are leaving forward to a return visit later this year.

Comfortable and private

This property provided a great little getaway. We had all the needed essentials. The hot tub was roomy and felt great! The beds were comfortable. The air mattress is stored in the pantry. I enjoyed looking at the old pictures in there. We would stay again. Read the written directions before arriving because Google will not tell you which road to turn into.

Peaceful and private home

Carrie’s Cottage provided a spacious bed, 4 outdoor seating areas and best of all, a completely private hot tub. We loved being surrounded by nature and saw a few critters. The cottage was stocked with amenities and its location is right in the heart of Red River Gorge. It only took us 10-15 minutes to every attraction we visited!

KY Getaway

The house was in a great location, close to many activities. The house was clean and stocked. The hot tub was clean and worked perfectly. We loved the serenity of the property with woods and secluded from high traffic roads. We enjoyed hiking, rock climbing, and relaxing in the hot tub. We rode our motorcycle and just riding through KY itself was beautiful. I highly recommend this house.

It would be nice if the owner or the listing agents could fix the "Get Directions" button on the website so it will take you to the correct address. The cottage is lovely and very peaceful. It is very well equipped and a very pleasant place to stay. We could happily have stayed there for longer and will definitely stay there again if we are back in this area. Definitely recommend

Lovely house and property. House was perfectly cleaned and well stocked. Tons of games to play to really spend quality time. This is our 2nd time staying. Hot tub was great. Only a couple things to mention the hot water heater is extremely small. 2 showers was hard to do. The only other issue is that the dish washer is missing a wheel so it’s a little wonky but works.

Never Considered.

From Ohio to Georgia I often hear suggestions for cabins or stays in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I never considered staying somewhere in Kentucky. This location superseded my expectations. This is a great place to host my children and I while we were able to explore Red River Gorge. This house was so pleasant. My kids and I loved it. I absolutely loved the Jacuzzi. I will totally be recommending cabins and Kentucky. I was pleasantly surprised and completely happy with my stay and I can definitely say I’ll be back for another visit.

Convenient and cool place to stay on a hot weekend

We stayed at the cabin over a weekend in late July. The temperatures were 90+ during the day, so we were very happy to find the AC was working very well once we arrived! I followed the link to the coordinates in Google Maps, and really should have just read the directions in the owner's email, which were clearer. You have the place all to yourself. I was worried a bit about the unsecured wifi, but there is nobody with view of the cabin, so it's pretty safe. Everything was extremely clean and the cabin was well stocked. We did find the fire alarms went off when I opened up the stove (we were just baking frozen fries), but other than that, the kitchen was great for making all our meals. There is no cell service (at least if you have AT&T) but (a) that's not necessarily a bad thing for a weekend off and (b) the wifi was very good--we streamed music the whole time and still were able to use the internet for looking up recipes, etc. I was able to make a streaming call to check in on my mom without any lag or issues. It is a little bit of a drive to the trailheads (~25 min to Auxier Ridge, for example), but we didn't mind because it was so nice to stay in a house with everything we needed and which allowed us to cook several meals. It was also nice to be able to do a load of laundry after sliding a bunch of rocks and scrambling on our various hikes. Communication with the owner was also quick and very effective. Would definitely recommend.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. So clean and comfortable. Listing accuracy was spot on. Total privacy but close to everything you would want to do in the Red River Gorge area. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking. 100% recommend if you are in the area. I would stay here again if I come back this way.
