The Pamlico Sound is a one-minute walk, and the wide Atlantic beaches are just five minutes away. (Ask us where to walk for ice cream!)

Nestled at milepost 40¾, this 4-bedroom, 3-bath home sits in a quiet neighborhood ideal for relaxing, stargazing, watersports, and family fun. Offshore winds make this area a world-renowned spot for kiteboarding and windsurfing. Minimum renter age: 26+.

GREAT family getaway!

The house was just a short walk to the beach and had everything our family needed. They even had beach toys, and a buggy in the garage to tote the stuff there! Our daughters loved bunk beds and our dog was able to relax and enjoy the breeze on the patio. Highly recommend staying here, the place has everything you’ll need with ample space for a family of any size! Thanks again for the great stay.

Close to the beach!

Stayed here for a week with the the whole family (two kids under 10 and five adults). The house was exactly what we expected and great for our trip. We especially loved the location just down the street from the beach and sound. We made most of our own meals while staying, utilizing both the kitchen and the Blackstone (though my husband notes the attached side pieces on the grill get hot so he needed a side table for plates). The hosts were very nice and checked in a couple of times during the week to make sure everything was going well. We would certainly stay again!

Beautiful property with all the essentials for a week + stay. Lovely quiet neighborhood. Our group had children, parents and grandparents. There was plenty of space for everyone to sprawl out. We felt safe and comfortable.

Great Location who doesn’t like walking distance to the beach and DAIRY QUEEN. House was what was advertised and the owners replied quickly to our needs. Had plenty of things to go to the beach. Great restaurants near by as well as adventure. Beach was awesome and the porch of the house was a great location to just plain relax. Thanks

Great stay in the Outer Banks

Whispering Pines house in Waves worked out perfectly for my family which consisted of 4 adults and 1 dog. Many amenities are offered including linens at no additional cost. There was also no pet fee :) We appreciated the cleanliness of the home, the great location where you are able to walk to the sound or the beach, fully stocked kitchen, two coffee makers with all the 'fixings' and tv's in every room. The guest experience was great. The owners were super responsive and they communicated everything to us in an extremely timely manner. Rebecca was wonderful to work and correspond with. She took the time to ensure we arrived and had no problems, and then communicated with departure instructions and followed up after our rental was complete to ensure we were satisfied. Of course we were!
