"The home was beautiful and the back yard was resort worthy. The pool was perfect, and we saw a toucan in the tree while we were swimming. The host was very responsive and helpful and the house was clean and ready early. There are multiple restaurants in short driving distant that were quite good. Two of the beds were extremely hard and there wasn’t any additional bedding or anything that could be used as padding."

"The property was clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is not it. It is located on a busy road with extremely loud traffic all day and night. Ear plugs were provided but were useless. I'm happy thay my stay was limited to one night as I require quiet enjoyment in my lodgings. Parking was also tricky and the rivers and gardens mentioned in other reviews were non existent. This property is 2 hours away from San Jose Airport so not close."

"The room is spacious and clean. I didn't like that the TV wasn't facing the bed or the sofa. The staff is friendly. The pool is large and clean. Breakfast is very good. The Italian restaurant is good and has reasonable prices for a hotel."

"Clean rooms and good communication. WiFi was limited and only one television in one bedroom. The only hot water was in the upstairs bathroom shower. Kitchen had limited utilities for cooking There were numerous dogs in the neighborhood which barked a lot of the time. "

"I wasn't able to connect with host and didn't stay because it wasnt where I was told it was (using Waze and photo) and the host never got back until way too late. I was driving in the dark on a rainy night in a strange place and was pretty angry with the situation. Ended up staying elsewhere in Grecia instead."

"We really enjoyed our stay in Casa del Sol. We stayed for six weeks in March/April 2025. Klaas and Sandra, the property managers, made the check-in and check-out seamless. Isabel was friendly and very through; she keeps the inside of the house clean and organized. The pool cleaning crew, Wendy and Erick were great, and kind enough to let us practice our Spanish with them. Hats off to Alfonso and his gardening team. They do an impeccable job of maintain the gardens; the gardens are a true highlight of the property. The house is large and has a very convenient lay-out. She shows her age but still maintains her charm. The vistas are breathtaking. The beds are comfortable! Bonuses for us were having a gas stove, a bbq, and a deep pool – deep enough for cannonballs! The location is convenient being between Atenas and Grecia with easy access to the main highway Ruta 1. We highly recommend Casa del Sol! Thank you for a lovely stay."
