Great view overlooking Montreux, but not super convenient to walking the lake promenade. There is a tram or bus stop nearby that easily takes you up and down."

"We had a great stay. Hotel is extremely clean, as was our room. Housekeeping provided excellent service. Reception were good. Only issue was that staff had no knowledge or recommendations regarding parking. We basically had to figure out the most cost effective option on our own. I would suggest they brush up on this."

"They were only two tiny operable elevators during my stay in this 10+ floor hotel, so the wait times when going down were bad. I just took the stairs, but for my elderly parents, they had to wait each time. Staff were nice and helpful. Rooms were good and they had a free stocked refrigerator (5 drinks) that was a pleasant surprise. The view from the room was also quite nice. We tried the breakfast that includes a made to order egg station and overall it was good, but we did not find it worth the cost."

"This house was absolutely spectacular! It is perched on the side of a hill which is good for views and tricky for access. The view of the lake and city below is unmatched; brought tears to my eyes. I was in the hot tub every sunrise and sunset, soaking in the glory of it all. My husband loved the sauna (also with an amazing view). We ate dinner every evening in the gazebo as the sun set over the lake. My kids enjoyed the PlayStation and foosball table (we enjoyed the peace). The beds were all very comfortable and sturdy. The washing machine came in handy and a drying rack was provided. The kitchen was small but had everything I needed. The house was very well maintainted, everything seemed new and of high quality.The only real inconvenience was that the bus stop is up the hill quite a bit and there are several sets of stairs to get down to the house. This was difficult to manage with a lot of luggage but not impossible. My 74 year old mother in law was able to get up and down the steps every day as we went out for day trips (but she is pretty spry for her age). The bus stop is a 10-15 min walk uphill/upstairs, longer if you need breaks. The town of Caux doesn’t have a grocery store so we had to make trips to Montreux and fill backpacks. Round trip took about 2 hours as the bus is about 30min each way and it comes by only once an hour.The host was responsive and had someone show us around the house the first day. We may have to book a trip just to come back to this house!"

"Staying at Hotel Masson was an absolute delight—choosing this historic gem over a standard chain hotel added so much character to our trip. Located in Veytaux just outside downtown Montreux and practically next door to the stunning Chillon Castle, it offers a wonderful way to experience the distinct charm of the region. Transportation is a breeze with the Veytaux-Chillon train and bus stations close by (just note that the walk up includes a steep hill, though we found Rue Bonivard to be a bit less tiring!). The historical loveliness of the hotel is truly unmatched. It was so much fun to read about the hotel's history, admire the old pictures and drawings, and take in the beautiful antique furniture scattered throughout. Despite being housed in a building with so much history, cleanliness and comfort were never compromised—the bathrooms are nicely updated and the rooms are very clean and comfortable! The property features gorgeous, relaxing spaces to lounge around, paired with amazing views. Above all, Simona, Frank, and the rest of the staff went completely above and beyond with their communication and hospitality to ensure our stay was comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would love to come back!"

"Great property just steps from Lake Geneva. The room and hotel were beautiful and grand. The breakfast that was included had great variety and made for a stress free morning. Especially since you can sit on the terrace overlooking Lake Geneva. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The spa, gym, pools are modern and quite large. It's really nice the property has both an indoor and outdoor pools. Overall I would highly recommend this property."
