From beginning to end, Victoria and the staff didn’t stop to amaze us as we spent our wedding anniversary at the hotel. Everybody was so accommodating, the amenities were super, breakfast great and the view… my goodness the view.. We in particular loved how the staff were friendly, down to earth and not stiff. It felt like staying in someone’s massive house rather than staying at a hotel. This is a hotel is not just a place to stay, it’s an experience in itself - thank you!

One of my top 3 ever experiences!! Staff were excellent, balancing professionalism with warmth and friendliness! Staff really went above and beyond! I realized I left my sports coat in the wardrobe but had no way to return. I emailed, they found the coat, packaged and sent it on to an upcoming hotel all at no charge. Rooms were beautiful, property was well maintained, views were spectacular and food for both breakfast and dinner was excellent. We’ll be back to spend a couple of days on site!! Cannot recommend enough!!

This hotel was the one-night magical stay we were hoping it would be. It felt like a well-maintained step back in time. The breakfast and restaurant were lovely, the staff were very friendly, and the grounds were STUNNING. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was to sit at the restaurant and to be outside - the flowers, the views, the touches. Absolutely loved it! My only disappointment was that we were there for our honeymoon, and even after contacting them before, the hotel didn't acknowledge that in any way. Overall, would recommend it to someone wanting a special "off the beaten path" stay.

Wow! What an oasis from the business of life! Room was wonderful and spacious; beds were great. View from balcony and all eating areas is incredible. Staff was very responsive and helpful with one exception - wanted to make a shorter night by getting some bar food (as advertised) around 6 pm, but only alternative given was the formal dining at 7 pm. Love accessibility to funicular and train network. Grounds meticulously cared for.

Hotel Victoria is a great choice for a stay while visiting Montreux. We had a junior suite and the balcony view was spectacular. The restaurant has 5-star quality food and service. The hotel staff were fantastic. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed the second time in Hotel Victoria. What is amazing for me is the level of service and the attention to details. It is a classic 5 star service combined with the warm hospitality of the owner family. This mix and the beautiful setting is getting rare in the world of hospitality. Very worth to visit and I will come back again soon.

Extraordinary property, unbelievable lake and mountain view with gorgeous grounds. Interior classically decorated with spacious well kept rooms. Staff was 110% whether front desk, dining, and room care. Relais & Chateau never disappoints for upscale frequent travelers. You won't want to leave!

I absolutely loved the view from the double doors in my room and its balcony, the comfortable bed, the silence between my room and others (I was only on floor 3 but it was very quiet), the grandeur of the hotel although it is almost like a slight pastiche of itself as some of it is a tiny bit jaded/faded. The carpet in my room and garishly tiled but classically designed bathroom are both approximately 40+ years old but I found really comforting as it reminded me of staying at my grandparents! I had dinner and it was absolutely impeccable Service and food and would highly recommend. The reception desk were very efficient and helpful. I loved staying here and would love to come back. Highly recommend.

We felt like we were movie stars being pampered in luxury with an excellent staff and amenities. A classic luxury palace. We are really backpackers treating ourselves to a couple of great days at The Victoria. Impeccable service. Awesome place. Great staff!

Wonderful view

The hotel is a bit away from Montreux city center, but easily reachable via the train or the funicular. As it is located high on a hill, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the lake, particularly when wandering in the nice garden of the hotel. Service is perfect, room are old-style but comfortable and very clean. Just be aware that there is no double bed, only two single ones close to each other. Only the choice of the breakfast buffet could be improved, otherwise everything was perfect.

The views and grounds are stunning. The hotel itself has an “old glory” feeling to it, you would expect to run into “Hercules Poirot” any minute and not be surprised :-) The staff is friendly and very responsive. We loved the breakfast (both the quality and the views). We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our balcony and taking in the views. While it is high above Montreux (800m), it’s easy to reach by train from Montreux main train station or the funicular (cable car) from Territet (a neighborhood or “suburb” of Montreux), or by car of course. The train stop in Glion is just 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The same train also goes to the top of the mountain (2000+ meters high). All together, we would definitely go back there!
