QUIET AND RESTFUL: GITE 2 Pers, SWIMMING POOL, near SARLAT, DORDOGNE PERIGORD NOIR.

"Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en Dordogne. Françoise et Yanik sont des hôtes charmants et disponibles. Le cadre est magnifique et au calme. Nous avons adoré le Périgord noir, ses nombreux châteaux, ses grottes et sa gastronomie. Encore merci pour vos conseils des visites incontournables à faire."
Gite La Terrasse en Périgord - La Blénie - Heated swimming pool

"This GITE is in a beautiful spot and the house itself is pretty, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were helpful and pleasant. I booked this gite as the listing said it had a private pool. I understood ‘private’ to mean private to the gite. The pool is, in fact shared, with one other gite and the owners family. Whilst we were there, the owners children and grandchildren were visiting which made the pool too busy at times. Elsewhere in the listing it does say shared pool, but I didn’t see this until after the booking. The pool is also away from the house up a steep set of steps, which made it nearly impossible to get there for my elderly mother. Again, the issue is about clarity in the listing. It was a beautiful pool. My only other dissatisfaction was that there was an extra charge for bed linen that also wasn’t immediately obvious in the listing, and also a charge for cleaning at the end of the stay, although we could have done this ourselves. I was told that extra for linen hire is standard for French rentals (though this isn’t my experience) and that’s fine, but I think this should be made clear in the listing. All that said, the place was lovely, I just felt a bit misled by the description in the listing."

"Die Villa ist ein sehr schönes, helles Haus mit einem schönen Pool in ländlicher Umgebung. Man kann von dort aus viele Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Gegend machen. Wir durften unseren Hund mitbringen- das Grundstück ist allerdings nicht eingezäunt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und können die Villa weiterempfehlen. (2 Erwachsene und 2 Teenager)"

"Communication impeccable.Propriétaires extrêmement sympathiques.Maison chaleureuse et équipée.Bourg très mignon et agréable.Position parfaite pour rayonner sur Souillac, Sarlat, Domme, Les Eyzies et profiter de ce que le Périgord a à nous offrir.Petit plus, la supérette du bourg possède un vrai boucher et ses viandes sont de très bonnes qualités. Ça fait plaisir."

"L'hébergement est plus grand que ce que l'on espérait. Plutôt bien placé, à 10 min de Souillac, "plage de la Dordogne", magasin, des visites nombreuses à 30-40min max. Très bien équipé à caractère rustique avec charpente bois et buffet, commode en bois. Des moustiquaires à toutes les fenêtres très utiles. Une grande piscine hors sol très agréable, un grand jardin avec partie privative table, bain de soleil, barbecue. Le seul bémol est le lit double dans la chambre,étant grand, je touchais tête et pied de lit mais bon ma femme n'était pas gênée. Super séjour à 5."

"joli environnement, jardin magnifique, tres bien entretenu et fleuri malgre la canicule. Cuisine tres bien equipee et nombre d’assiettes, verrerie, plus que adequate pour 14 personnes. Chambres er literies tres propres et confortables, cependant a cause du changement climatique, les etes seront de plus en plus chaud, un ventilateur electrique, portable sera souhaitable dans les chambres."

"Fantastic location. Walking distance to 2 restaurants and 2 snack bars and a pizza takeaway. Easy to find. More spacious than it shows from the photos. Helpful and friendly hosts. Easy to find and handy for the main sights of the Dordogne. Comfy bed and hot showers. We would definitely recommend and return again. Our dog loved the garden. Nearby (15 minute walk) St Julien de Lampon was a lovely village. "
