Lovely, spacious, and quiet
We just came back from a wonderful week in Martinique. After spending our days exploring, snorkeling and soaking up tropical sun, we happily returned to this rental in a residential neighborhood. We ate most nights on the breezy patio looking out on the hills. The glassed in living/dining room creates spaciousness without sacrificing privacy. Hannah and Roland are lovely. Hannah speaks English which was extremely helpful as an American without any French language skills. They were warm, welcoming and helpful without being intrusive in any way. There is a good snorkeling beach very near by (Anse Figieur), and you are well located to explore the many beaches in the southern part of Martinique. Visit the beach in Le Diamant if you want a beautiful long sandy shoreline with waves and lots of shade, or for excellent snorkeling close to shore - Les Anses-D'Artlet and L'Anse Dufour. While we use GPS wherever we go, we found a good map even more helpful. Martinique has many more Europeans visiting then Americans, but we found people tolerant and helpful despite having read that this was not all English speakers experience. If you do not expect the Island to cater to your language, I think you will find the same positive experience. We highly recommend staying in this lovely spot.
