"A really lovely holiday cottage - we stopped off here on the way to drop our daughter at University and it was perfect. Two lovely bedrooms, very comfortable, great bathroom, kitchen and lounge - and an enclosed courtyard garden at the back. In lovely condition. Also very dog friendly. And Ripon itself was beautiful. When I was shown the room the main light didn't work but I said it didn't matter as the bedside and bathroom lights were fine.
Very convenient with the dog to nip out for a quick pee rather than walking through a hotel.
Car park small but parked ok and felt safe.
I left early for and no one was around yo check out so ended up leaving door unlocked and key inside.

"Our stay at the Old Deanery has been fantastic, we weren't sure what to expect having read up on the Old Deanery, as we usually stay at Inn's for hikers, with a standard breakfast. I'm so pleased that we chose a two night stay with breakfast included, as it was such a special experience. We were welcomed and made to feel at ease by friendly staff, who are all passionate about giving their guests a real experience, not just an over night stay.
