GRAND MESS Clermont-Ferrand

"If you are in transit and need a place to stay for one night this is perfect. Hotel only 2 years old with ample underground secure parking. The restaurant was the big surprise as the food was comparable with good specialist town restaurants . Reasonably priced at around 70 euros for 3 courses including a cocktail and large glass of wine. Will defiantly be back. Oh and also 1km from the motorway exit/entrance. A real find."

"Large room. Restaurant was fully booked, when I checked in, which was disappointing. I have stayed here before and it was the main reason for booking. It is about 4 1/2 hours from the Mediterranean Sea, and is a handy break on the drive up or down from the boat. There is a large car park. Anyway There is a Pizzeria across the car park which seems to be part of another hotel, Campanile, which seems to be a sister hotel. I had a Pizza, which was fine, but in France, I don't really want Italian food. I have now checked and there other restaurants nearby that were not recommended by team members, and on this search, I have now also noticed multiple other chain hotels nearby and several restaurants. Breakfast was fine, but the coach passengers that were there seem to think I was an inconvenience having a breakfast that I had paid for, and some of them were extremely rude. I would have mentioned all of this at checkout, however the team member at checkout did not seem that interested in conversing, so I left the key and went on my way. Anyway, next time I am passing, I will widen my search and probably stay elsewhere."

"New hotels are the best. Restaurants in walking distance. There was some one there 24 hrs but it was a busy weekend. Safe location. I am not a fan of hotels with out staff at night. I don’t like rooms and gates with codes to access."

"The location is excellent, right on the shopping center where there is also parking and the city center, The girl at the reception was super nice and patient. The room is large and spacious and the price is definitely worth it."
