'Pinecone Retreat' Book Your Fun Now! Spider Lake Resort

Pinecone retreat is a newly built cabin in 2008. It is in a great resort, Spiderlake resort. We are on a chain of 5 lakes. The cabin has a great view to the water and just down the hill is your dock. A little further over are 2 more docks and a swimming area.

This cabin is in a great recreational area. There are many other lakes nearby. Snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter and ATV riding in the summer.

Just 5 miles away is Birchwood with many restaurants and shopping. There is also Doolitle park a great place for the kids to play. Just Rite on Main is a great shopping experience enjoyed year round.

Pinecone retreat is also setup for crafters. We have tables and chairs and a mini kitchen. Scrapbookers love to come here for a peaceful place to work on their projects.

We have all the conveniences of home in a country setting. A FREE bottle of wine or sparkling apple/grape juice awaits your arrival. Call ahead with your selection from our choices.

Fun family getaway!

The cabin met our needs perfectly for a family weekend getaway with grandma and grandpa! The kitchen is fully stocked-more than any other that I’ve been to, 2 levels of spaces and bedrooms is great for families, and the community amenities are a major bonus-fishing, swing set for the kids, and a restaurant! The beach area shown in the photos is just gravel now so bring water shoes! Overall a great place that we would come back to if the opportunity arose!

Wonderful quiet getaway

This cabin has everything you need, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, washer-dryer, deck overlooking lake. So relaxing and close to atv-utv trails to ride. Wifi works great. Enjoyed our week away greatly. Would definitely return.

Sister week

My sisters and I absolutely loved this cabin ,it is beautiful and rustic and very clean. My sisters and I are all in our 70's and this quiet, peaceful cabin gave us privacy and nice sitting areas to gather together and talk about our memories.growing up. The cabin is so perfect for a sister get together I highly recommend this cabin.

Up North Getaway

We come up to the area every year for a family vacation, this was a great cabin with lots of added amenities (soap, towels, paper towel etc) that made the stay even better. Fully stocked kitchen was great! Fishing was amazing on Spider Lake too, definitely will come back next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was well appointed for cooking meals in and for playing games. The covered deck was a wonderful place to enjoy the views. The fall colors were gorgeous!

Little slice of heaven

Had a lovely stay at rhis cabin! Great views of the water, perfect dock for the pontoon, and everything we could ever need inside. They even called to check in on us when a bad storm came through and lost power for a few hours! We will be back!

Again a perfect stay!

This is our second time visiting Pinecone Retreat. What a wonderful place to stay. Everything was excellent, from the decor to the comfort of the lodging to the access to Spider Lake. We took all 5 of our kids and had such an excellent time from visiting Hayward to fishing every day on the lake. The loons were pretty thick this time up there - what a treat to hear them. We caught and cooked crappie most of the week. We also enjoyed visiting Spider Lake Saloon which is only a short walk away from the house. Great stay - we look forward to booking again for next year.

Nice place to atv from

Property right on the trails. Trails were in nice shape with nice fall color. It is part of a resort so if ultimate goal is seclusion may not be for you but for us and our dog it Was great

Summer cabin

We had a great time with our 10 year old granddaughter. She loved the pedal boat and fishing off the dock. If you like to cook, you will have no problem here. The kitchen has every conceivable pot, pan and utensils you could ever want! The lodge is a short walk away for drinks and meals. Highly recommend a stay here to others.

Wonderful place to stay

The property was absolutely perfect. The decor was so well done and fitting for the location. The cabin was roomy and it was great it had two levels to us parents from the kids ;) Loved that there was a washer and dryer provided and had great access to Spider Lake. Thank you for the memories! The only confusion I had is I didn't get any initial instructions from VRBO prior to us getting there. I had to call Jean to get instructions once we were onsight. It all worked out fine though - GREAT STAY!

NICE LITTLE CABIN

As the title describes, its a nice little cabin that is setup to host up to 10 people comfortably. It was in great condition and was located literally right on off-road vehicle trails. It is within 6 miles of Birchwood, in case you forget something. It is also situated on a quite lake, its only about 300 acres. My only criticism would be that it is situated on a very steep hill and would not recommend this for anyone who trouble getting around. It would be very difficult for them to get to the lake.

Wonderful cabin on a quiet lake.

The property is a very nice house on a small lightly used lake. The house has everything you need. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with everything you need. We cooked each night for all 10 of us and always found what we needed. Plenty of towels, washer and dryer with detergent. We had up stairs and downstairs so basicly two kitchens. The deck is large and a great place to eat and relax. There were very few mosquitos for being on a lake in the woods. The dock is nice and the sunfish were biting none stop. Water was very clear and nice for swimming. The paddle boat and row boat were nice to use. Over all a great trip and you really don't need to bring anything along but your food.
