"The staff is absolutely exceptional. Very kind, polite, helpful and the nicest people. The location is pretty good too - about a 15-20min walk to old Funchal. The walk back could be longer due to the uphill but nothing too crazy. Parking can be tricky but I never had an issue parking at the lot that was designated for the buildings but not for the hotel. "The most welcoming and kind hearted host! We arrived late and she was so accomodating, great communications and made us feel at home instantly. The room was spotless and furnished with everything you would want - lovely welcome gifts also! Wish we could have stayed longer! Great location for PR1 sunrise hike the next morning. "Great place for a short stay. Generous room size. Pleasant and helpful staff. Location is superb, very central and walkable to places and it has supermarket next door which is very handy. Stay included breakfast with reasonable choices. Shower facilities needs maintenance as water pressure was very low, everything else is good and room had massive wardrobes and a lovely balcony."

"We stayed here in fall 2023. Location is very convenient to Ribiera Brava (5 minutes by car; we did not take a bus). Great restaurants in town Beautiful clifftop views of the ocean. Private pool (for the 3 units). Very nice ocean view balcony for wine etc. Make sure you let the hosts know when you are arriving as they need to open the front gate (our fault!). Ample parking inside the gate. Wonderful clean facilities. Breakfasts excellent in a common kitchen (too many choices…the pastries...

"The house makes a good impression on the first sight and was perfectly clean. But the kitchen equipment was lacking basics like bread knife (provided on request), a sieve or sufficient amount of bowls. At the stove only 3 of 5 plates worked. Both showers were flooding the bathrooms every time. Sleep was interrupted each night several times by barking dogs in the neighborhood (really noisy) and in two sleeping rooms darkening was not possible. The renting agency and craftsmen entered the house...

"Wonderful place to stay in a lovely part of Madeira. Jorge and Gabriel are the perfect hosts, so welcoming and pleasant with loads of recommendations and great communication. Rooms are clean with lovely facilities, great pool and the views are heavenly. Good location, less than 5 mins drive to the beach in Calheta. Highly recommended."

"Wonderful location, run by genuinely lovely people. We took the self catering apartment option and it suited us down to the ground. Slightly remote if you are not fully mobile. We did not want to hire a car, so used taxis a lot. We were given a driver's number and received excellent service. There is a handy bus service into Funchal."

"Stayed in March/ April with partner and teenage son. We found the villa with no problem using Google Maps link provided and checked in easily. We were surprised at how big it is! There were only three of us, but it would be more than big enough for a family of six. We found it to be very well-equipped, with everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool was lovely, and heated to a good temperature - the worst bit was getting out, particularly if it was a bit windy! Car hire is essential...
