"This is the best hotel for the money that I have experienced in Heidelberg. The front-desk staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. The convenient Frankfurt Airport bus operated by Lufthansa stops at the Hilton, a 10-minute walk away. Rooms are bright and recently renovated. "Historical hotel in a great location in the Altstadt. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has great regional offerings. Please note, some of the rooms only have a window to an indoor hallway and not the outdoors. I apparently unknowingly signed up for such a room. When I raised it with hotel staff, they quickly gave me a different room with windows to the outdoors. However, I was lucky they had such a room available as the hotel is very popular."

"Either I missed the info or it was not made clear that there is only a shared bathroom between the four “apartment “ rooms this hotel offers. Suboptimal I would say. But both the bathroom and the communal kitchen were kept very clean. The rooms are on the fourth floor which is not too helpful with large suitcases as there is no lift.
