One of the few hotels in the area. Rooms are actually spacious for European standards. Friendly staff, enjoyed their lamb for dinner. I would definitely stay again if back in area.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was great. My only critique is I wish the coffee machine at breakfast held more coffee! Would recommend!

The main reception, restaurant, and cultural museum are housed in this distinct building shaped like a giant bookshelf, dedicated to local writer Þorbergur Þorðarsson. This museum is a must see! Beautifully done. This man had ideas and lived well before his time! We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious! The breakfast included was the same in the morning. Our room faced the Atlantic ocean, which we walked along in the evening.

Nice and well maintained property on a beautiful plot of land with magnificent mountain as a backdrop. Kali served pretty good breakfast. Good option if you travel to the eastern part of Iceland.

This place is so peaceful and quiet! I was running late and the reception desk was closed it was about 3:30AM when I got there. I called the number of the hotel and someone guided me to my exact cottage and even after our call he sent a text message with all the details. I was so grateful because after a long drive the last thing you want to do is have look for your room or cottage! Thank you for making my stay a safe and memorable one.
