10/10 Excellent
"We came with our dog and we received such a warm welcome at the reception. It continued in our room, when there was a full bag of treats waiting for him. That little detail made our day! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the panoramic sauna was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Reitrain?
The best area to stay in Reitrain is the village centre, particularly around Hauptstrasse, for its convenience and access to local amenities.

The village centre is Reitrain's hub, offering a blend of traditional Bavarian charm and modern comforts. Hauptstrasse, the main street, is lined with family-run shops, bakeries, and restaurants serving local specialities. You'll find many of the village's historic buildings here, and it's quite walkable, making it easy to explore on foot.

Couples often find this area ideal for a relaxing getaway. Staying in the village centre means you're just a short stroll from cosy taverns for an evening drink or traditional German Gasthäuser for a hearty meal. Many hotels in this area offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and easy access to gentle walking paths.

For families, staying in the village centre is also very practical. It provides immediate access to parks and play areas, and many accommodations are within walking distance of the local swimming pool or mini-golf course.

The best time to visit Reitrain is during the summer months, from June to August, for warm weather and outdoor activities, or in December for a festive, snowy experience.

This is an excellent time for hiking the trails around Lake Eibsee or enjoying a scenic cable car ride up to the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain. The longer daylight hours mean more time for sightseeing and enjoying the natural beauty of the region.

December transforms Reitrain into a winter wonderland. Temperatures often hover around freezing, bringing snow to the town and surrounding mountains. This is ideal for those who enjoy winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, with several resorts nearby.
