"Bucaneiro is centrally located so you can easily walk to downtown to the east and also to Praia do Forno, Praia Brava, and Rocka restaurant. The bathroom is quite small but there was enough space in the room for our luggage. Only 1 person on staff really understood English but he helped us with our bags up to the room and showed us around the property. "Beautiful garden and plants. Really makes me feel like I'm on a vacation getaway from the busy city. The staff were so friendly and bonus is the plates and cups for the free breakfast were so pretty."

"A pousada nao dispoe de camareira e servico de quarto. Achei a poisada inflexivel para negociacoes e estabelece muitos criterios para checkin e checkot. A taxa de permanencia de pets é carissima e nao oferece nenhum espaco para pets e tivemos que tomar cafe com o pet amarrado na cadeira pois tinha espaco para pets. O gerente fazia todo servico na cozinha e tambem na recepcao trazendo desconforto aos hospedes. "

"Great location, clean, nice bathroom, comfy bed, english speaking staff. Honor based minibar in the room and the same for the bar next to the pool. Only drawback would be few outlets to charge devices in the rooms. I'd rate this pousada above their 4 star competitors in Buzios."

"Loved my stay here! Gorgeous view and good value for the price. I found it very walkable despite being on a slight hill (better view that way) and I had a good time here. The only thing stopping a 5 star review was that one morning the water was unexpectedly not running and I had to skip a shower. I forgot to ask why and never got an explanation. The breakfast was pretty okay but the coffee was very bad. The hairdryer didn’t work in my bathroom. Overall I would totally stay here again...
