Refreshing and relax

  • Stay in an established neighborhood close to shopping, Shasta Lake, and 2.2 miles to Bethel church. 2 miles to I-5 and 1.8 miles to Raleys. Private master bedroom and bath, connected to a single-family residence, some walls connect but no one has access to that space but the guest. Guests do not access the main part of the home. Double patio doors provide a separate entrance with queen size bed, updated tiled bathroom, hanging rack for clothes, dining table and two chairs, TV with Apps, microwave, and mini-fridge. Free WIFI.
    Sorry, no pets ( even special service dogs) no kids, no smoking.

    Within 10 mins of Shasta Dam for a tour. Or an hour to the ski lifts.

This is a great place to stay for a night or two- think comfortable hotel room, but with treats, a great coffee/tea station, and safe, quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfy, communication with Sierra was good, she's really responsive. The room is attached to the main house, with a shared wall, so there can be a little noise, but nothing like you get in a hotel. I felt very much at home there, and would stay again.

Perfect get-away

I needed a spot for myself and my daughter to stay while visiting family. Makes a perfect little getaway and i did not have to fight anyone for the shower. I have stayed here before and its very affordable. Driveway parking and quiet neighborhood also.

Good simple digs for a short stay

Stayed 3 days in the area for some guided trips. Location was close to restaurants etc. The only issue was that hot water generally didnt last for a shower.

Definitely will come here again. Great place to stay, love that it had a microwave, a spot to park, and to make coffee and plenty of lightning. We were close to many food places around like sprouts market and vitality bowl.

Great home base

This was a great apartment to use as a home base to explore the area. Clean, quiet, easy to get to. All the amenities I was looking for. The host was very friendly, welcoming, and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a lovely stay at this property. Room was cozy and clean. I was so thankful for the coffee and snacks as I got in late and couldn’t get any food as everything was already closed. Easy access to the neighborhood and to the room were also a plus.

A Beautiful and Wonderful Stay

This place was perfect for my husband and I. We had everything we needed and the decor and ambience of the place was clean, modern, updated, and very peaceful. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Lots of loving touches and beauty throughout. HIGHLY recommend this place and we will be staying here again in the future.

Quiet and comfortable

We were in Redding for two nights for a friend’s funeral. We just needed a place to sleep basically, nothing fancy but we don’t like hotels. Janet’s lodging was perfect — simple, clean, comfortable and quiet. It’s attached to the main house but we never heard our neighbors.

Good For A Short Stay

Booking this Vrbo was very easy and handling the checking was very smooth with easy instructions. In a decent neighborhood, no problems or such, and is very easy to access. The place was well kept and clean as well. It is as advertised, small, but fit for a few days stay. Only knack would be the unavoidable fact that you may hear the hosts through the walls, but nothing terrible. Overall it got the job done just great.

Sweet Spot

It was easy to find, very clean and cozy. Nicely furnished and equipped. The black-out curtains were very nice when we were trying to sleep in. The bathroom and shower were very nice. We got to see our daughter in a play at the Redding Performing Arts Center that was much better than we expected - very fun and highly enjoyable. It was a great weekend!

Little gem in Redding

This sweet little cottage is exactly as described, in fact better! It was so clean and all the little extras Janet includes make it exceed 5 stars! The location is great, close to everything, but situated in a quiet neighborhood. Janet is a wonderful and caring host. She’s attentive, does what she can to make your stay the best, but makes sure you have privacy. This is my favorite place to stay in Redding (my 2nd stay here) and look forward to a return stay.

Yes, Janet was welcoming. She inquired after our check in and a couple of other times to see if we needed anything. The unit should be improved in these ways: 1. The HVAC should be separate from the house. Although a space heater was provided, it blew the circuit. Janet asked if we would reset the breaker at the outside panel. After that, we relied on heat from the rest of the house, but it was often too hot at night. I didn't feel comfortable sending the host a text whenever the temperature needed adjustment. 2.The turbine vent on the roof makes rumbling noises when it spins. This noise caused sleep to be interrupted. 3. The path from the driveway to the unit is not smoothly paved. Instead it is a walkway that has been made from stones. Furthermore, there was no lighting at all. It was pitch black at night making for a dangerous walk from the car to the unit.

The right pillows plus

Janet, your gracious host is SO Thought Full! She has provided 6 Different kinds of Pillows (including memory foam). I found one that was just Purrrfect for me. She is so helpful, and offered me more waters and Kind bars when I ran out of her initial supply in the kitchenette. SBUX coffee! Fridge, Micro, Fireplace with remote. TV with every kind of channel you could think of (Prime, Netflix, Roku....). Wow, Wow, Wow. Janet is a 5 star host. All was very clean and quiet for a good nights rest. Hotel quality bathroom and personal products! Highly recommend!
