For the most part it was okay. The area was convenient plenty of things to do and food options. The building itself could use an upgrade. A coffee pot in the room would be ideal. Over all for a one night stay while attending a event at the Santander Arena it was good.

The A/C was cold, the bed was clean and comfy, and the shower was hot. It had some small issues but nothing that highly inconvenienced me though. The front desk staff were so friendly and very pleasant to talk with. I attended the local WWII Weekend and really only needed somewhere close to the airport to rest and recover at for 8 or so hours and this place was perfect.

The room was not clean. However, the guy at the front desk, who worked at night and at day and made coffee and waffles, was so nice and friendly, that he made up for whatever the place was lacking.

Cheap but safe and clean

If your needs and expectations are for a high end motel this would not fit the bill. But sometimes we want an affordable place to stay that is safe, clean and comfortable for sleeping and bathing, etc. And this property completely fits the bill in my opinion. The two staff members I met were friendly and clearly interested in my satisfaction. If you're passing through this area and want a place to call "home base" as you conduct business or see the nearby sites I'd reccommend The Kings Inn as an affordable option.

You get what you pay for! Was it horrible, no. Was it great, no. It was a place to sleep & cheap. The rooms are super outdated and smell like cigarettes. They actually offer rooms you can smoke in which really surprised me. The housekeeping isn't great so bring some Lysol wipes to do a once over. The location is close to everything. You drive up the road and have literally EVERYTHING you would need.

Decent stay in Reading

Front Desk was nice/easy to deal with at check in. The room & bathroom could have used additional cleaning and had a unique smell when entering. Beds were fairly comfortable. Check out was a bit of a challenge as nobody was in the office at 8:50AM and a phone number was left on the door to call. I tried calling twice & received no answer or voicemail. Someone finally showed up to the office and was able to check out at 9AM. Depending on expectations, I may or may not recommend staying at this property.

This was the 3rd yearin a row I stayed at Kings Inn to participate in the annual Reading Air Show. It has easy access to major roads in Reading. As in the past, the staff was was excellent. Allowed me to check in early and greeted me when we passed on the property. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was comparable to other hotels I've stayed at in past travels. The temperature was in the upper 80's during my 3 day stay and there were no problems with the air conditioning. I will return to Kings Inn for next year's event and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Awful, tv and wi-fi never worked. The front desk person was rude, I had to wait an hour to get s room because the manager left the property. The front desk person told me to call the manager when he left.

The room looked much better in the photos than it did in person. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable odor throughout the room. The bed sheets had hair, dirt, and what appeared to be a dried yellow stain. There was mold on the door, the heater was not functioning, and the bathroom was not clean. Additionally, the floors throughout the room were dirty. Overall, the condition of the room did not meet expectations based on the listing.

When we arrived we could tell quite a few people must have been homeless that are now residing there. There were cigarette and joint butts on the stairway and on the walkway to the room and also around the parking area. My daughter & her friend were with me. My daughter has really bad breathing issues. We were in the room about 20-30 minutes then we had to leave. Previous guests had smoked in the room and there were cigarette burns on the tables. My daughter was starting to have an asthma flareup and it was getting harder for her to breath. I went down to the office, and told them the situation. The staff person said ok and we left with no refund being offered! I would recommend not booking here.
