THE BOATHOUSE – a contemporary pole house building with decks overhanging the lake and wall of bifold doors which fully open to extensive views of the water. Sleeping accommodation is usually for two in the queen size bed but can extend to four or six – a double futon in the sleeping loft is accessed by a ship’s ladder and a double sofa bed can add sleeping for another two. All bedding and linen are provided. A large bath for two in the Bathroom has views into the forest.
Full cooking facilities in the Boathouse include a gas cook top with wok burner, a fan forced electric oven and grill, microwave, electric frypan, kettle and toaster enabling you to really cook up a storm. As well there is a Weber Q barbecue on the deck and a campfire on the beach beside the cottage perfect for toasting marshmallows while you marvel at the milky way.
There is a radio / music system and a selection of CD’S for you to relax and swoon to as well as magazines and books to dip into. We also have a library of books and magazines at home, if you would like more choice. There is also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs for a relaxed movie watching evening.
Lower deck – hammock, steamer lounge for a secluded snooze. When it gets cool at night (and it often is quite a lot cooler here because of the elevation) close the doors and curl up in front of a wood fire with a hot drink or a glass of wine. When the days are warm, open the house right up and let the breezes, cooled by the lake, refresh you.
The Boathouse is a non-smoking cottage.
