My family and I loved our stay! The house was very clean and provided plenty of space for all to be comfortable. The location was quiet and provided beautiful views of the city. Definitely would recommend staying here as we are already planning a return trip next year.

The Overlook was a fantastic place to stay for our South Dakota 'Road Trip'. The home provided all the space we needed for the 6 of us, was clean and well-stocked, and centrally located to all the sights we wanted to see. The host was quick to respond to any questions, etc. We would stay at The Overlook again and highly recommend it.

Nice Place for Large Family

This was a very nice place for a 3-generational family with plenty of space for 10+ people to be comfortable. The property was exactly as shown in the listing + very close to all the tourist locations.

Great location

This property is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood within close proximity to the grocery store and Starbucks. Mount Rushmore and the Badlands were an easy drive. Our kids loved the play area and fenced in backyard.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

WE WERE THERE 9-16-24 THRU 9-20-24. WE LOVED THE VIEWS FROM THE DECK AND PATIO BOTH AM &PM. ALL OF THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE. THIS IS AN END UNIT AND VERY EASY TO GET TO. CODY WAS VERY EASY TO CONTACT, AND HE CHECKED IN WITH US A FEW TIMES. I WOULD DEFINANTLY STAY HERE AGAIN.

Three family members thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The owners have provided everything necessary including the most spectacular view. We used the kitchen and found everything necessary for meal preparation. The home is in excellent condition. So grateful I found this location on VRBO which helped made our trip to Rapid City memorable.

My family loved this property! Was very clean (I own a commercial cleaning biz so I'm somewhat of a tough critic). Has a great view, very spacious and comfortable. Cody was very responsive and great with communication. We will be back again!

Outstanding experience!

We were very pleased with our first VRBO experience. Host communications before, during and after our stay were very informative and timely. Host was also very responsive to any questions we had. The unit was as advertised - very clean, spacious and only minutes from restaurants, groceries, etc. There were 5 adults and a 3 year old in our party. Everyone enjoyed the experience!

Memorial Service Gathering

We were three generations, total of ten people aged 2-70. The bedroom configurations worked perfectly for us. The house was exactly as shown, very new, well appointed and spotless. Perfect home base for Mt Rushmore and the area

The Overlook was everything we had hoped for. We used it as a home base to see Mount Rushmore, the Badlands and more. Cody was very responsive and great with communication. The house was very clean, spacious, and perfectly laid out. People could play games and not disturb anyone trying to take a nap. The ping pong and foosball were a big hit with the family. The house is at the top of a hill and has beautiful views of the city below. If we visit the area again, we will definitely choose this location.

5-star home and experience!

Everything about The Overlook was perfect! We were in town for our oldest grandson’s high school graduation and a mini-family reunion. The house was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed. The kitchen was open with a large table for meals and family card games, there was plenty of seating in the upstairs living room and basement family room. All televisions had remotes that worked for our NBA playoff basketball fans. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The instructions for access, wifi, and check out were easy to find, and cleaning requests were very reasonable. The location was ideal, close to restaurants and our son’s house. Definitely a 5-star home and experience!

Home away from home!

Wow, from the moment we walked in, we felt like we had come home! Everything was sparkling clean, so welcoming, well appointed, modern yet cozy, fully stocked and well situated in town! We lacked for nothing! Little things like toilet paper and towels were of high quality and we had PLENTY! There were delightful surprises like children's toys, which my 5 year old daughter LOVED, and plenty of room to spread out as well as commune together as a group. We all enjoyed playing ping pong and eating around the table, as well as outside on the deck. There were plenty of dishwashing pods, a great laundry room (though we didn't do laundry this trip), a TV in the master bathroom (which was totally fun for our kids) and all the plates/silverware/bowls/cups that we needed! Communication was SO CLEAR and Cody even notified us that the cleaners were finished early so we could have had an early check in! I cannot say enough about this wonderful stay and we will definitely be back when in the area! We were all sad to leave! Thank you!

House is perfect location for all you want to do in the Black Hills. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable. Lots seating area for meals. Down stairs is great for grown kids or second family, I would suggest owner puts in coffee bar and small refrigerator in the lower level. Upstairs deck if wonderful wine and fire pit. Host has done a good job to make if vacation friendly
