About this property

Urban Bungalow-City Center

  • Hosted personally by owners who live 10 minutes away. Blocks from city center, restaurants and nightlife, this authentic 1919 Craftsman Style Bungalow has been renovated completely with modern amenities, but retains its original character. This will be a perfect base for all of your Black Hills adventures. Contactless check-in with door codes provided prior to check-in.

    Boasting original wood floors, original weighted windows, and the classic front porch swing, you will feel right at home. We love this unique space and the stories that it must hold in its walls from the last century.

    This dedicated vacation rental is equipped with everything you need, new stainless appliances, full size laundry and provided linens on memory foam mattresses. Two living rooms, each equipped with a 50" smart TV, and plenty of comfortable seating. Dining area seats 6-8 comfortably. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, even an assortment of spices to get you started. Dishes and glassware provided.

    Large driveway parking for three vehicles or a camper, plus free on-street parking available.

    As locals of the Black Hills, we are excited to share a variety of our favorite experiences and adventures for you to choose from, or make your own Black Hills Adventure.

The place is perfect for Rapid City vacation. The rooms were clean, convienent to walk to resturants. Close to Mt Rushmore. Comfy to come back from long day of touring and hikes. Tara was very easy to communicate with. We thoughly enjoyed.

Great home in Rapid City

We stayed at this home for a week while visiting Rapid City for a horse show. The home is absolutely adorable! We loved our stay. It was so cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed! Definitely will be staying here again next time we’re in town.

Had a wonderful stay. If you sit in the backyard in the evenings you can see deer go by. Sometimes in the front as well.

Dad and Sons Annual Trip

We visited Rapid City and surrounding areas for 5 days. The location was convenient to walk to Main St for night life and connecting to highways. We enjoyed how the property had plenty of rooms and living space to hangout. Consider this property if you are visiting Rapid City.

Great location, central to many attractions.

This home is charming and so thoughtfully decorated. It is walking distance to the beautiful downtown area, multiple restaurants, nice stores, coffee and ice cream. The home was comfortable, clean, great wi-fi, good water pressure and had nice outdoor seating areas. We ate out or Door Dashed, but the kitchen had everything one would need to make your own meals. It was just my husband and I, but it would have been great for larger groups too.

Great place to stay in Rapid City

This was the perfect house for our family of 5. Exactly what we expected from the description. We really liked the location! Almost every night we made the short walk to downtown Rapid City. My kids really enjoyed the porch swing. The property manager was very easy to work with and get ahold of if we had any questions. We will stay here again if we come back to the area.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Cute house! Home had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our group of six. Even though the house was near commercial, the business across the street is very quiet and well tended outside. We enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch & even lit the gas fire table one evening in the back. Everyone was comfortable. House was a great jumping off point for visiting Badlands NP, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer SP (etc). We would rent again.

Perfect Place to Unwind

Charming 100 year old house with perfectly executed updates make this a wonderful place to unwind after busy days in the Black Hills. Location is quiet, across from a small commercial development with very little traffic. Walkable to downtown Rapid City and a 5 min drive to Safeway (they deliver if you’re an Instacart subscriber). Easy parking in the driveway or street. Quiet neighbors - residents on one side and VRBO on the other. 2 main floor bedrooms and a full bath as well as 2 bedrooms and a full bath in the basement. Main floor rooms are cooled with window AC units but they are powerful and a nice white noise to sleep with. All rooms also have ceiling fans. Basement was a bit stuffy and humid in the crazy summer heat but our young kids didn’t seem to mind and the owners worked hard to remedy with fans and dehumidifiers. There are both front and back porches, we didn’t use the backyard at all due to heat and summer bugs. We stayed for 3 lovely nights and would return again. We fell in love with South Dakota.

We were in Rapid City for a swim meet and the house was perfect for our needs, three kids (two swimmers), parents and grandparents. There was room enough for everyone to be comfortable and it was less than a mile to the pool. The house was well equipped and relatively close to the tourist attractions.
