Wisconsin Aire Motel New Year review
The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel that does need some upgrading. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked and there is no cabinet/dresser and/or desk in the room. They heat was not easily controllable so it was warmer than I would have liked. Overall, it was a very good experience but with a little updates and additional amenities it could be an excellent experience in the future.

Time for a refresh!
My last time here was in November 2017 shortly after the owners had refurbished the motel. Since then, the motel has suffered from benign neglect. Time for a refresh!

Nice stay but unexpected loud music
Had a band or loud music playing after 11pm on Saturday night. It sounded like it was coming from the gas station. I wasn't going to go out and check it out as I was ready for bed. The staff that lives there is nice, but the kids need to be quiet after 10pm to respect the people staying there. They were screaming after 11pm. I opened the door and said asked them to be quiet that some people were trying to sleep, then their mom came out of the office and went to their unit. I don't know if she knew I said anything to them or not, but the one child glared at me while walking backwards back to their quarters. I get it that it was a weekend, but there should still be respect for quiet time. Need instructions on how to use TV. Not everyone streams. Not all room numbers are listed so had to go under another room number to try and watch TV. Liked that they had bottled water in the room. Came in handy at night.

Currently no housekeeping. No TV channels..got to use your own provider. Loud party at bar next door one night and walls thin...couldn't sleep until after 3pm. No coffee maker currently..new owner and he renovating the rooms. Our room first done. It was ok....but won't stay there again...

We checked out upon arrival. The motel was not for travelers. It was transient housing. We found a spaghetti noodle on the floor. The keys to both rooms were in the doorknobs upon arrival. Many transient renters right in front of our 2 doors. I asked for a refund but was told to get my refund through Expedia. Please help!

There was no working smoke detector in our room, the air conditioner was not working, the tub did not drain well, the toilet seat was falling off, and for the amount we were charged for the room, we felt it was very overpriced.

We got to the motel around 5pm. We walked into the office and no one was there behind the counter. They have a bell so we rang the bell. No one came. We rang the bell a couple more times and tried calling their number. No answer. No one came for 20 minutes. Then they gave us a room. Room 25. Then as we were unpacking a gentleman told us they gave us the wrong room and gave us keys for room 29. We opened the doors to room 29 and someone was staying in there. We went back and they told us they gave us the wrong keys. Then gave us room 30. Room 30 was stinky and they left a dirty wet rag on top of the fridge. I took a quick shower and the blow dryer wouldn’t work. I called them to complain and to ask for a new blow dryer and for them to come pick up the stinky towel that someone left in there, but no answer so I left a message. I called again the next morning and of course no answer. Worst customer service and motel we’ve ever stayed in.

The television didn’t work. There was no extra lock inside the door. The room smelled and whatever they used to clean was not a good smell either. No one was there to check us in and we had to contact hotels.com, which was not quick, just to get someone to give us a key for our room. It was a boy who might have been 10 years old. Saw no adults. Bed springs were old and uncomfortable. Bedding was old and we didn’t get a comforter or warm bedding. Heater didn’t work well - ended up sleeping in sweatshirts, hoodies, socks, etc. Towels were stained and had holes. Gave shampoo, conditioner, and soap bar. Had nice toilet paper. Very old rooms, rust, mold on shower liner, bath mat wasn’t washed, fish shaped anti slip mat for bath was old and misshapen. Overall would not recommend. Also cost was lower online than through hotels.com. We had to get a price adjustment even though I think paying what we did was still far too much.

Great Motel
First time at a motel and this was great. The staff was very helpful, nice and courteous. The room was amazing, super clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable; Nice towels. Loved sitting outside on the nice benches provided under well lit walkways enjoying the summer evening. Nice bath mat and non skid fish for the bathtub. Could use a little extra care; Curtain to the back was missing a few curtain rods. Electrical plug in needed a cover surrounding it. Office closed in the morning upon leaving thus just left key in the room.

Not happy with the room at all. The room smelled so overpowering of room freshener. The ceiling was caving in over one of the beds. The curtains were disgustingly dirty. The bedding was stained and the beds and pillows were worn out and uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling and shower curtain was moldy. I had to clean the sink when we arrived, there were weird beard hairs in it. I paid for 2 nights but decided by 6pm the 2nd night to leave, we couldn't stomach this room any longer and decided to make the long trip home. We will never stay here again.

This is an old school motel. It's in a small town right on a highway and perfect for those who need a place to sleep for the night (or maybe two). Drive up to your door. The room was small, but clean. The AC worked, as did the fridge and microwave. It is older so remodeling hasn't been done. The front desk is not always manned, but staff is just a few steps away and ready to attend. Oscar was on duty when we were there and was very friendly and helpful.

I would've had this simple motel more highly rated if not for one big detail. We came to eastern Wisconsin to visit Lake Michigan for Independence weekend, unfortunately we were located right next to a small fireworks shop. No big deal, except the fact that they decided to have a firework show right outside the motel. Now I get that it's a firework shop on 4th of July weekend we're talking about, but I mean letting the show go on well after 10 pm (we we're awoken as late as 1:30 AM). It made matters worse that I told them some of us were trying sleep at about 10:30 PM, to which they said they were firing off the last one. Well they lied about that as it turns out. Decent motel, but I was frustrated that the owners didn't figure this out with the neigboring firwork business. I wasn't the only tenant upset either.

This was the most terrible hotel I have ever been to. The heat did not work and you could only get scalding hot water or freezing cold when taking a shower. I booked for 2 nights but we only stayed for one and found different accommodations for the 2nd night. We did complain to the person on site about no heat and was ignored. It may be cheaper but you will get a bad stay!

The bathroom soap was postage stamp size, the a/c unit was unreachable over the refrigerator w/o a stool, the furniture was too large for the room, the only accesible electric outlets were floor level in the narrow spaces outside the beds, the coffee maker was junk, the smoke alarm was unwired/gone, the door kept falling off of the microwave "stand", there was an open light socket in the bathroom along with a broken housing hair dryer/blower.

I was looking forward to the short stay…I love cute Motels. The room had a dirty coffee pot with old coffee and used filter still in it, 2 pillow cases missing from 2 pillows and trash stuffed in the TV stand. When we walked in the room it smelled like cleaner but my guess is they just sprayed something in the air. Seems like $130 is way too much for this place. Very disappointed.

Well,no batteries in remote for a/c. Fridge wasnt cold or turned up. The reservation was for a king size bed and we got two queens. The coffee maker was dirty with mold in it. There were no condiments for coffee. They only provided 2 sets of towels
