Conveniently located near City Center in Varese, restaurants, shops, and sight seeing was often within walking distance. The host had the place well organized and was available to assist with any problems that arose. Myself and my two adult children really enjoyed our stay. Although we didn’t speak Italian, the local people really helped us get by. "

"Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

It was a short walk from the train station and we could walk to the lake, funicular and olive grove walk so the location was excellent. "This is a good hotel if you're flying out early the next day, as we were. The rooms are larger than we typically found in Italy and the beds were clean and comfortable. There was a little bit of soap scum/mold in a corner of the shower, which kept me from giving it a higher rating. Nothing terrible, but a little detail that was missed. There is a shuttle to the airport (5 euros/person) which was prompt and efficient. The breakfast buffet (12 euros/person) was average. I opted for a pastry and cappucino (4,5 euros). We opted to eat down the street at Samarcanda, which was a hidden gem. It's a short walk and you might want to get a reservation as it does get crowded. Food there was surprisingly good, especially for the price."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We were there just after the season ended so the restaurant had sadly just closed. But the town was still lovely, we were able to get food easily. The front desk attendants were always very helpful and nice and the hotel was lovely. The view is unmatched. Honestly I am still thinking about sitting out on the balcony looking out at the mountains and the lake."
