"Great location and a very clean room. The staff, from check-in to check-out, were extremely courteous and helpful. Umbrellas were thoughtfully provided in convenient locations throughout the property, which was especially helpful during the sudden downpours we experienced on a couple of days. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The rooms were conveniently located, making it easy to get around either by walking or using the golf carts, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay."

"The Mariposa Hotel is one of my favorite hotels. Its proximity to the Central Valley and its beautiful ocean views make for a very pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. Prices at the restaurant are similar to those at restaurants in Manuel Antonio. I will definitely return."

"We had a fantastic few days. The house is right in the rainforest, which made it feel authentic. We loved going to the waterfall and also did a night tour with Jose which was absolutely fantastic. We saw so much wildlife! The owners are great and do so much organising for you, nothing is too much trouble. If I was to mention just one small negative it is that it does need updating, new bedding and towels would be a great addition. That said it didn't spoil our stay and added to the rustic feel of the place. We loved our time relaxing there."

"The room we stayed in was a bit small, but made up for it with a beautiful balcony kitchenette. My children loved seeing animals everywhere, from coatis to iguanas to monkeys. Food prices at the hotel retauraunts were higher than anticipated however, and there weren't any grab and go options for drinks or snacks at reception."
