I didn't like the fact that if I wanted a late checkout, I had to pay extra. I enjoyed my stay. I would have liked a continental breakfast though.

The room had a bad odor. There was a used feminine douche under the bathroom sink, which is extremely unsanitary. A used towel hanging on the bathroom wall. The floor was dusty and had candy along the baseboard. Hair was visible on the nightstand. I came to Raleigh for a bridal shower. If dreamville didn’t happen to be the same weekend with all hotels booked, I would have checked out. It’s unfortunate because this hotel seems to be located in a quiet location and appeared to be descent from the outside. After sharing my experience with the front desk, he apologized and said if I didn’t use a Expedia he would give me something back. I guess it’s safe to say I won’t be using a 3rd party to book anymore hotels because this experience was unexceptable! I will be posting photos once I leave the my review.

My apologies for a less than poerfect experience. We certainly do not want this situation to occur at anytime. We will definately use your experience and feedback to ensure better services for all guests in the future. I will help educate the housekeeping department as well. The Housekeeping Supervisor will all continue the daily training. Again my apologies for this experience.

The place looks nothing like what i signed up for. Bugs on the floor when i walked in....walls dingy like they havent been washed or anything. Couch tore up, bed broken, sink broken - this is not a decent accommodation- its pouring down rain and this is the only reason i didnt sleep in my car hearing people walk around above me all night - im new to area and this was uncalled for....this more like a candlewood motel 6 - and no one left the light on

Ask for a hair dryer 2 mornings and 1 Evening. Apparently none in entire hotel. Bed comfy, rest old. Low toilet like 40 years ago.

The hotel and room was not clean. There was hair in the bathtub like someone had shaved. There was mold in the coffee pot and stains on the ceiling. There was also a terrible smell throughout the halls and room.

Livable but only just
While not unlivable the room was dirtier than it should be. Further there was a lot of sign of wear. Hotel desperately needs an update

I reserved a suite with a bed plus a sofa bed online via an Expedia website. I received a confirmation of my reservation. However, when I arrived, disappointedly, I was told there were no rooms like the one I reserved. I settled for a smaller room because most hotels/motels in the area were fully booked. My first and last time staying in this property.

I love this place! Great price, spacious rooms with kitchens and everything you need included. Very clean and the employees are so nice! I try to stay here every time I’m in Raleigh/ Durham. Also very pet friendly!

The property has a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was nice but it would have been appreciated if the rooms were actually sanitized since we do still have to be careful of airborne pathogens. I sanitized the bathroom and inside of the room myself. The outside of the property was also satisfactory. The extra security for the door to the room was broken off and that was concerning. Again, the staff was very friendly.

Not so great location, lots of people standing around outside that looked questionable. Once I checked in, I was not comfortable leaving. Not a place that I would recommend for anyone.

The handicap spaces were full. The building smelled of cigarette smoke, the room was dirty, and my wife and daughter did not feel safe. We left and got a room someplace else. If you read my check in review you would know that.

Not as advertised. Pictures were from when they first opened. Not actually that nice. Suffices with some disinfectant spray. Not dirty superficially but feels dirty by how old everything seems. Even front desk warned it is not a nice hotel.

Great Hotel!
Really nice hotel - there are some spots of the building needing repairs, but nothing major. The room is very clean, spacious, and they do include some kitchen essentials which is really nice. The only thing that's a littlr irritating is that there isn't a great area to walk dogs. It's technically just the back area of the hotel, and it gets really muddy and there's no lights whatsoever, since it behind some rooms. It's not a huge deal but something to consider if you have dogs!

Upon entering the room I noticed a rather large roach near the bed. It ran from me! When I went to the bathroom to grab tissue and came back, it was crawling at the top of the wall above the bed. Eventually it came down far enough for me to kill it but it gave me the creeps. The room was also missing the iron. I asked the front desk for one and it never came.

We checked in at Candlewood Suites and the hotel itself was in great condition and the staff was wonderful too. But there are signs all over the hotel stating that the Hotel was 100% smoke free. However, when we got to our room, it smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. We brought it up to the front desk and they were extremely apologetic - but unfortunately they didn’t have any other rooms available on the first floor (which we needed for the dogs) so we opted to stay anyway. It was not a great experience as I do not do well with smells and I got sick to my stomach. I had to stay at my sisters house in the area and left my husband and dogs at the hotel.
