On arrival we made a cuppa & sat down on the verandah and ahhh…tranquility. Our daughters ran around in our private yard with a swing and we could unwind. Met the owners the next day and then every morning our girls fed the horses and sheep with them. So much fun. We were even given extra hay to feed the horses when they were next to our yard. Can’t rate it high enough
Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a little girls weekend away! We absolutely loved this place. Throughout the stay we all continuously made comments about how beautiful the pace way, the location and how friendly the owner is! We were sad we couldn’t stay longer. The property is lovely, clean and has all that we needed. The location and surroundings is stunning! Beautiful views of the countryside and hills. Before leaving we ran into the owner who was feeding the horses on the property. She was so friendly and kind and even invited us all to help feed the sheep. There are also the cutest dogs and cows also on the property as well. We will definitely be coming back again one day in the future and booking for more nights this time!! We all definitely recommend this place for friends family or even a couples getaway!
We loved our stay at Malolo! A beautiful, clean house with a peaceful view over paddocks. We loved every minute walking around the farm and relaxing on the patio. Bel was amazing with our girls and they loved being introduced to all of the farm animals. We all didn't want to leave.
Owner unpleasant on arrival and felt we were being watched
Owner initially refused access on arrival for our 4 night booking as she saw our cavoodle (as had a prior bad experience with dogs staying). Advised no pets would be allowed, despite booking through dog friendly section and disclosing cavoodle. Distressing to be faced with prospect of potentially having to leave and drive 3 hours home. Eventually allowed in after she spoke to the agent. We accommodated owner's request to not allow our pet on carpet and to cover furniture in sheets during stay, but made our stay less enjoyable. Received a call one evening within 30 minutes of mother in law arriving for a glass of wine, to ask why another car was in the driveway. Felt like we were being watched. Agent very friendly to deal with by phone, but unfortunate that we had to deal with them about these issues. Would not return , despite house being lovely.
Three of us ladies visited this wonderful property in Quorrobolong that was a 20-30 drive from several wineries in Cessnock.
The property was located on a lovely sprawling farm with a few beautiful horses, plenty of cows that enjoyed light conversation with us, goats, chicken and a serene lake a short walk away.
The property has all modern conveniences from microwave, oven, laundry etc and 3 very spacious bedrooms. You’re surrounded by nature and the sound of cicadas at night.
It’s ideal for either couples, friends or a family. Come prepared with food, water and wifi as some of the nearer shops for amenities are a bit of a drive away, and only Telstra seems to work in the area.
We had a great time at this accommodation and would return the next time we’re near the Hunter
One of the best farm stay we have experienced. Location is great! 20mins to hunter valley and you can go also around newcastle for less than an hour drive.
Owner is very friendly and accomodating.
Place is superb, clean and fresh and the kitchen are well equipped.
Definitely going back next month
We had a wonderful time in this farmhouse. Quite and unique. Close to winery and the country view is awesome. 50 acres of land, farm animals, natural view. Brilliant.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property, the house is beautiful and spacious, recently renovated and extremely well kept. We loved being able to enjoy the outdoors and our son loved being so close to the animals. Beautiful location and a very short distance to Cessnock. The owners were wonderful and super helpful with us. Definitely recommend and would absolutely go back any time!
Lovely, clean, well equipped house - so comfortable on a cold, wet weekend. Great open fire and everything that you could want in a house. I’d have no hesitation I recommending it. My kids loved the two friendly dogs that came to say hello, and walking down to the lake - saying hello to the horses on the way.
This would be a great house for anyone who has mobility issues as there is lots of space and no steps. Only minor drawback was having to get out of the car to open and close the gate in the pouring rain!
Thank you for having us, we had a lovely time.
Malolo Farm Stay exceeded all expectations we had. The location was perfect, the accommodation was incredible and the farm itself stunning. We will be back for sure...next time with the horses !
