Lovely hotel, although a little worn in places. Large room size. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was very reasonably priced and enjoyable. Breakfast had a very good selection

I cant understand why a "luxury" hotel would turn the A/C off at night; my room was 29°C, I sweat less in a sauna. Opened the sliding door for some air to listen to kids screaming starting at 6am.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us upon check-in. They also introduced me to the resort and direction. The room is spacious and very clean. The only down side is that there was no air conditioning. Only heating was in operation. I could not turn off the heating for some reasons. It was fine that I could open the window to get some cool air. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Intercontinental.

Location was excellent, Alpensia Ski 700 was just a few steps away. Hotel was clean, staff were very polite and helpful, spoke good English and were attentive to all our needs!

When people sleep anywhere, people heat the air to 98.6 degrees by exhaling, and need a source of cool air. This hotel does not provide air conditioning until summer, and so one has to leave their window open for cold air. But I stayed in room 249, and outside my window was a row of flags flapping loudly in the wind all night. The lake side which I stayed on also has: a) a local road with occasional car noise, b) the noisy entrance area, and c) the lake that people walk and talk around early in the a.m.. The mountain view rooms face the village and may be quieter. Next, the "village" shops are all closed in the evening, a ghost town, but there are restaurants about a mile away. We did have a pizza in the lobby which was good. There is virtually nothing to do in the area. The only people who are here seem to want to golf at a course a couple miles away. Positives are that the bed, pillows, and linens were super comfortable, but I could only sleep for 3 hours, 11 p.m. until 2 a.m., then was too hot, so it sort of ruined my next day. Similar to many IHG hotels, this is a franchise. This is owned by one man, who I saw leaving in the morning April 23.
