Fantastic holiday home with a private pool and wonderful views of the Dordogne

"The property is in a spectacular setting with great views over the Dordogne valley. It is on several levels with the 9.6m x 4.8m pool just below the house in a large garden with good privacy. It is a beautiful property which is clearly a family summer home. As such it has lots of character and a well stocked kitchen (in terms of utensils etc). The property was not perfect when we arrived as the pool was a little dirty (it had been very windy in the previous days) but Peter, the host, sorted this out very quickly. Aside from being a lovely house it is in a great location being close to chateaux at Beynac and Les Milandes and to Saint-Cyprien where there is a wonderful Sunday market. Sarlat is about 20-25 minutes drive away. The Dordogne river is only a few minutes drive away with numerous canoe hire locations and wild swimming opportunities. Some of the decor and fittings and decor were a little old so the property won't appeal to everyone but my family really liked it."

"Wonderful period property in the 'Perigord Noir' area of Dordogne. The house is very large with lots of bedrooms and was very comfortable. Great pool and fantastic outdoor eating area, with a 'plancha' grill, which was very popular. Great base to explore the valley and local villages. We also took canoes down the river, which was lovely."

"Great house, so much space and lots of rooms! Great facilities including a BBQ and a great outdoor table that accommodated 12 to 14 of us every night. Lots to do in the surroundings and great spot to explore the Dordogne region. Definitely recommend and Anthonin was an exceptional host, always available and ready to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He even came out to replace the gas bottle at 10pm one night when we ran out of gas for the BBQ and filled up the pool for us for our little kids!"

De belles randonnées peuvent être faites à proximité. Pour la maison : literie de qualité, maison bien agencée, ... La piscine a été très, très appréciée ! Hôte serviable et discret. Pour l’avenir, l’installation de volets sur les fenêtres de toit serait un vrai plus pour préserver encore davantage la fraîcheur quand les températures grimpent au-delà des température habituelles !"
