"The spacious room was nice, but having a fireplace in the room was the BEST, especially since we spent Christmas Eve at the Lodge and we hung our stockings under the mantel."

"We stayed for 2 nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Staff were wonderful. Check in was a breeze. Maintenance saw us in the pool and asked if the pool was warm and we said no. Instantly went to turn up the heat and came back to check on us and it was warm. They only offered pork for breakfast and we asked if they have turkey sausage and they did and made some for us. Breakfast was decent, coffee was good. Rooms were very clean"
"The cabin was clean, the staff was polite and friendly. This place is a great place to stay. The cabins are very nice and comfortable. I got the large cabin which had a full size refrigerator and small stove top and sink. Stocked with plates, eating and cooking utensils and a coffee maker. It had a small deck overlooking the woods with a small table and chairs. There is a small grill next to the deck. I love the location of this place, is off 64, bursitis tucked away. Quiet and peaceful."

"Nice little home in a neighborhood that’s close to everything Gloucester. Within walking distance of Walter Reed’s birthplace, except Hickory Road has no sidewalks. Charming place."
Freshly renovated c1900 Farmhouse in Plainview surrounded by crop fields
10/10 Excellent
"From the description, the property appeared to be a charming renovated farmhouse. It did not disappoint! The home itself has a wonderful history which was captured by the host in a beautiful presentation booklet in the living room. The updates did not distract from the original architecture which was still observable in many spaces. The home was our base of operations for our stay with two of our Williamsburg teenage grandchildren. It was convenient to the Bethpage Campground which housed a mini-golf course and delicious ice cream shoppe. We also attended a special race day at nearby Colonial Downs race track which featured not only race horses but also exotic animal racing of zebras, ostrich's and camels. Fun afternoon and evening for all! Each night the trip home was special as we observed many herds of deer in the pastures and just the non-rushed solemnity of the area. The home's kitchen was well-appointed and we ate many of our meals right there. Modern and up-to-date. We also made good use of the spacious tables for many board game competitions into the late hours.Stacy was a great host and answered our questions and made recommendations for things to do in the area. She made it a great experience!"
