Overall great experience, exactly what you’re looking for in a fun-party setting. Staff was great for the most part, my room was always cleaned well! IMO food could have been better and so could the quality of alcohol. I would go back.

Honestly feel like we were catfished by this hotel. The rooms were nothing great. The AC hardly worked in the rooms I heard from multiple people. The drinks were ehh. The staff was friendly and party’s were fun. But the food was just ok.

The resort was excellent. The staff was always cleaning so the property was well kept. Guests that stayed there were pigs. They left their garbage and food all over the beach. They showed no respect. It was mostly the younger generation. Its too bad because its a nice resort. I would definitely visit the Riu Republica again. I want to thank everyone at the Riu Republica for everything they did to make our stay there enjoyable and memorable. Ginnette Hartlen and family

This is a party Resort and loved it. The foam pool party, the White party, the pink party all of them were amazing. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Of course there's also peaceful pools and places to hang out if you don't want to be part of the fun but I highly recommend you go to one of them. You won't regret. The Beach was full of sargassum but this is nature not the resort fault. The staff also sell you excursions and we booked the $120 per person to go to Saona Island. We really enjoyed that trip. This is better than purchasing from outside because this way doesn't stop at multiple resorts picking up people. They also stop at blue lagoon where you can take pictures of the starfish ( do not take them out of the water). Bring lots of singles and fives dollars to tip staff. The food was delicious in every restaurant but our favorite was Mangu restaurant where Matías and Daniel made us feel so special. We even exchanged phone numbers after because we truly going to miss them. Thank you everyone for making this the greatest vacation ever.

The room was filthy, my toilet hardly worked, the fan stopped working, the safe malfunctioned. Outside of the room itself, everything else was awesome! The bar staff next to American country Rijo and David were my favorite and there was a lovely lady who worked at American country who wore a red bow who was super freaking sweet. The staff were pretty awesome! The pink party was fun but over crowded! I wouldn’t come back because of the room situation. But the rest of the resort was amazing and the jerk chicken was 10/10. If you were at the back of the property it gave a quiet vibe and getting drinks were easy at the swim up bar. At the end near the beach was where most of the fun was but it did take longer to get drinks as staff were busy but still nice.

Overall, we had a great time staying at the resort. This is a party hotel, I really enjoyed the Rio parties (neon & jungle party) to the resort pools have such a great vibe. Resort has beach access with plenty of beach chairs in the shade and sun. Food at the restaurant is decent, food in the sports bar was very basic I don’t recommend the sports bar food but if you’re hungry when it’s not restaurant hours then you have no other option. The staff was great, bartenders were so fun and friendly. Pacha nightclub was a lot of fun. The first day our towels smelled like stinky cheese, we were able to get more towels and they were fine. The bed sheets gave my friend and I a rash and we had multiple bites which looked like bed bugs. Besides the bed and towels overall definitely a party resort, come have a good time. Don’t expect a luxury room and don’t expect room service there isn’t any.

This resort had several pros, but the cons outweigh the experience. - Offered many scheduled events - A party offered every night - The shows had great talent - Several pools on property (Waterslides in picture were not the same on property) -The massage was good, but the Spa did not offer spa robes and falsely advertised jacuzzi. It did not have jets. - Gym was open 24 hours, limited amount of machinery for the amount of guests trying to use it. - Doctor on premises was very nice and helpful. -All-Inclusive Alcohol selection was good and bars were located throughout the entire property. - Restaurants Offered a wide variety of food selections buffet style. - Food was not covered witnessed several cross contamination. - Toilet handle broke on Wed. They didn't send someone to fix until Friday when we were checking out.(Called multiple times) -Roaches in the room, - Wi-Fi Signal was very limited throughout the room and resort. - We were there Mon- Fri. Requested sheets to be changed on Wed. They Did not change sheets put dirty sheets on until I took them to the cart.

It already works well, but I’d make it sound slightly more natural and clarify that the room looked worn rather than poorly cleaned: The best thing about Riu Republica is definitely the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a lively party resort, this hotel delivers. Between the four themed Riu parties, the on-site nightclub, pool activities, a DJ on the beach one night, and shows at the resort’s venue where staff performed, there was almost always something happening. Most guests were friendly, social, and ready to have a good time. That being said, the hotel itself is outdated and could use renovations. When we first entered the room, we noticed several stains, marks, and worn areas. It didn’t seem like the room hadn’t been cleaned—it looked more like the result of years of constant use. We visited in July, and even with the AC running all day and the doors and windows closed, the room still felt very humid. The food wasn’t great either, although the buffet was tolerable and usually had enough options to find something to eat. The beach was decent, but the water wasn’t always as clear, clean, or turquoise as expected. Overall, this hotel is best for people who prioritize partying, nightlife, activities, and meeting other travelers over luxury, updated rooms, great food, or a perfect beach.

To begin, the appliances within the room were outdated. The mattress was old and contained suspected bedbugs and visible mold which led to irritating bumps appearing about the body on the skin. The A/C was not functioning therefore sleeping at night became hot and very uncomfortable. Part of the ceiling fan fell directly to the bed which is a potential hazard. Fortunately we were not lying in bed at the time of the incident. There was also on several occasions a pungent bathroom odor that consumed the section of the resort in which we were staying and inhaling it became very unpleasant. In addition, we encountered a dead mouse at the end of the hallway which indicates the resort is dealing with a rodent infestation issue. However, the staff were very warm and pleasant. This therefore helped to make the experience better for all of us.

I’ma be honest, the experience 9 out of 10. The room itself -3000 out of 10 and I was in the military. No AC, TV had a black line down the center 3” wide, hair dryer coming off the wall, tissue and towel racks falling off, Ants in my room and suitcase, dead mice in the hall way, one outlet worked, and more. Worst part is, if you try to call the front desk, they take an hour for them to answer. Just to tell you a technician will be there that never comes. With that being said I didn’t come to sit in my room. For what it was, a party resort that’s all inclusive, it was a cool experience. Met a lot of great people. However, the cleanliness, ‘technician’ that never showed, and some staff was horrid. I feel like they need to put a lot of time and effort into the upkeep of their rooms. 100% did not expect the room to be so bad.
