About this property
Salmon River View! - Sleeps 12 - Bar, Grill and Perfect Location
Parts of the house are the original 1890 build, and the space has been beautifully renovated. The Master suite has a King bed with private balcony view over the Salmon River, a gas fireplace, an en suite with bathtub and shower. It’s also equipped with a smart TV (Netflix, Prime and more). Pull back the small bookshelf next to the bed and you find the ‘secret room’ which has a single bed, full bed and trundle bed, it’s a great place to escape for some peace and quiet. A third room can be found on the other side of the living room with a queen.
The upstairs living room has recliner sofas with cup holders for the ultimate down time, with another gas fireplace and smart TV (again with Netflix, Prime and more).
Moving downstairs you'll enter a fully renovated Kitchen area and breakfast bar with a dining Alcove, all with a river view. Just across from the kitchen is the bar area with working beer tap (beer not supplied, 1/2 Keg required) and beer fridge perfect for socializing after a day on the lake, river or trails all under the glow of a third gas fireplace.
Guests have a second living room downstairs, with a twin room off to the side. There is a second King bedroom and additional bedroom with two double beds in the upstairs of this side of the house.
There is a deck with furniture available to use outside that’s ideal to relax and enjoy the view.
We provide hanging rails in the garage for waders and a fridge freezer to store any bait or caught fish. Absolutely no korkers or waders in the house please!
Absolutely no fish to be skinned and gutted in the property! There are plenty of local stations that will do this for you for a very small fee and dispose of the detritus, including one just cross the street from the house.
Furry friends are welcome to stay for an additional fee but must be kept off the furniture.
For those with trailers, we recommend you back the trailer up on the east side past the raised septic tank, there is a flat area of grass there just to the west side of the sign that act as the informal property boundary.
Note that you cannot access the river from the property, you will need to take a very short drive.

We were there for a family snowmobile trip. We absolutely loved this home, with lots of space for entertainment. A heated garage to keep things dry. We will absolutely be back.
This was our fifth year fishing on Lake Ontario. We always rely on VRBO and this house was our favorite. This house was as advertised. Organized, roomy, comfortable and extremely clean. We highly recommend this house.
The owner is extremely accommodating. There are some areas of the home that need a little attention but the owner tried his best to take care of our concerns during our stay. There is plenty of space for casual relaxation howere the sleeping arrangements are not as private as the pictures appear. The walk in closet is converted to a bedroom with a separate entrance but it doesn't have a door that locks for the shared restroom. Everything could have been a little cleaner but it is a comfortable space for a fishing family with some kids. We enjoyed our visit and would stay again for fishing.
From morning coffee on the deck(s) overlooking the Salmon River to dinner fresh off the grill, we greatly enjoyed our stay. The home was loaded with amenities large and small and was in the perfect location for all of the day trips and excursions our family took.
Large house with plenty of room, very clean, very responsive and communicative. Nice view out of the back of the house, good space for entertainment as a group to use the full dining table, sit around the bar, or spend time on the deck, while having separated entertainment areas for small groups.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the VRBO. The bedrooms we good size and the master has its own private balcony. The secret hidden bedroom was perfect for our teenager. We loved overlooking the river and marsh with all its wildlife (Bald eagle, Heron and a White tail deer swimming actoss the lake, not to mentione lots of ducks and geese).
Rented for a yearly brother-in-law fishing trip. Accomodations were great. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, and everything was meticulously labeled to make it easier to find everyday needs in a unfamiliar house. Depending on the size of your boat, the parking could be tight as it was for us. Other than that, would definitely consider for next year's trip.
My husband and took our daughter and several grandchildren to NY on vacation. We found this home to be just what we were looking for.
It was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, soups and detergent.
There’s a washer and dryer on site. Although we happened to be there during a record heat wave, the house was very comfortable with the room AC and fans.
The house has a fabulous view, and a great back deck with a grill and plenty of seating
I highly recommend this house for a comfortable, peaceful vacation.
The host was wonderful, replying quickly to any questions.
Overall this location was phenomenal, every person agreed it was a great place to stay, location was perfect, the surrounding was gorgeous and super close to several fishing spots. The house had everything from pans, pots, utensils, spices, coffee, Blankets, Pillows, EVERYTHING!!!So why not a perfect score? The pictures and descriptions need to be updated. The pictures were taken so you don't know the full layout, that there is a very short roof on one side so if you are taller than 5'3, you will be ducking your head up and down the stairs. There is a massive slope behind the house with several broken rope railings, and since we had several young kids and dogs, we were worried about them trying to go over/goof off around that area. There is a fence, but its is NOT a closed fenced in yard, if you have dogs/kids, they could easily walk around the back deck to the front and the road can be very busy. The descriptions made it seem like there was a fenced in yard. The blinds in the Master bedroom are great for letting in some light, but if you want to sleep in and its spring/summer, you will be awoken by the brightness, so bring eye masks. The house was immaculate except for 1 thing-the jacuzzi. First it takes close to an hour to fill with water, and while in it brown dirt/leaves/crusts floated up when the jets were turned on. We hadn't swam in the lake or anything, this was in the tub.
