The turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki frame spectacular views of Aoraki/Mount Cook, creating one of the South Island's most photographed landscapes. Rent a kayak to explore the glacial lake or drive the scenic road towards Mount Cook Village for hiking trails through alpine meadows.
A lovely welcome by the owners to this 2 year old property.
Appreciated the lift so we didn’t have to lug the suitcase up stairs.
The room was beautiful.
Bed ultra comfy.
The views of the mountain were great. Loved their snow caps.

Your hosts go out of their way to make your stay whatever you wish it to be. The view is magic, the room spotless and the country breakfast made to order. There are two lounges to relax in with complimentary drinks provided. There is ample parking. You would find it impossible not to relax here.

From arrival to departure -- first rate service.
All rooms overlook Mount Cook and Lake Pukaki.
Modern, comfortable accommodation. New facility -- only 6 months old.
Executive chef prepares meals -- all outstanding.
Pleasant, helpful staff and owners.
Owner took us out for stargazing at night-- the district forbids lighting outdoors unless necessary -- allows breathtaking views of the sky.
Would recommend this lodge without hesitation.

We loved our stay at The Mackenzie Suites. We booked the luxury king room, stunning views, fireplace between the lounge and the bedroom. Large high end bathroom with the biggest bath tub I’ve seen. Easy check in with lots of tips on the local area, we would stay here again

An absolute luxury hotel. We opted for the lake view room and had two full walls of windows to view the lake. It was stunning. The room was excellent, with great bedding, heated floors, and an exceptional shower and bath. We ate room service, which was reasonably priced, large in size and high in quality. We were very sad to check out.

Beautiful room with great view of the lake, church and southern alps at Lake Tepako. Very modern, well furnished, and warm for our winter stay. Very close to cafes and restaurants. We stayed two nights for our visit and Heli hike to Mt Cook. Would definitely stay again.
