"What a beautiful property! There was always enough shade in and around the pools, and excellent bird watching within the hotel grounds. The location was excellent, with the beaches, national park, and town/restaurants within easy walking distance, but it was nice and peaceful at the hotel itself. "The grounds are expansive and absolutely beautiful. We saw monkeys, giant green macaws and toucans on the property. The location - between Playa Cocles and Playa Chiquita - is perfect. Both restaurants on the property were great - we especially loved the cocktails and ceviche at Spice House. We stayed in a two-story family villa. There was plenty of room for 3 teenaged boys and 2 adults. The bedrooms were air-conditioned and the downstairs was cool and comfortable with just the windows and fans. The staff was courteous and the breakfast delivered to our room each day was such a treat! Highly recommend this hotel to families. It would also be comfortable for seniors since there are first floor rooms and the grounds are flat and easy to get around. We loved it."

"From the moment i arrived at the property i felt a peaceful energy. the aesthetic of the hotel was my favorite, the beach was beautiful, loved the room. I was solo traveling, but didn’t feel alone at all. Staff made me feel at home. They truly outdid themselves very attentive and willing to help in anything you need! Ketzy at the reception so kind and helpful going out of her way! I recommend getting a massage by Michelle she was amazing worth every penny. At the bar and grill food was delicious and drinks. Brixie so sweet and attentive took great care of me and all the waitresses . I loved my stay there it was everything I needed I 100% recommend this hotel. And I would totally come back! It fits the puerto viejo pura vida vibe! Thank you hotel banana azul for an amazing time!"

"We stayed at this property for four nights and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful landscaping, colorful flowers, and butterflies surrounding the property. Our room was spotless, smelled wonderful, and was cleaned daily. The staff were always kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and we also loved having an on-site restaurant for dinner. Traveling with children, this convenience made a huge difference, and the food was absolutely excellent. The property is easy to access, feels very safe, and everything was impeccably maintained. We truly enjoyed the warm, family-like atmosphere and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Costa Rica. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!"
