Walk to Anini Beach in just 8 minutes. Stroll across the little foot bridge to the Westin and find a Starbucks, a small convenience store, and dining options. The Princeville shopping center - with its numerous shopping and dining selections including grocery store and wine shop - is just 0.9 miles away, either a quick little drive or a pleasant 15 minute walk. You'll enjoy the ocean, mountain, and golf course views from Puamana, and there's a swimming pool and a fresh flower cutting garden as well. The scenic beaches of north shore Kauai are just minutes away - you can be lying on the warm white sand of Hanalei Bay in 10 minutes!

About Anini Beach: Anini is the longest and widest reef in the Hawaiian Islands and because of the unique conditions, the beach usually has well protected waters and some of the most consistently good conditions for safe water activities. There is no lifeguard posted at Anini Beach, but it is still considered to be one of the safer beaches on north shore Kauai. Generally uncrowded, at Anini Beach visitors can enjoy snorkeling, beach walks, picnicking, paddle boarding and wind surfing. The path from these Princeville condos to Anini Beach has lots of scenic views. It can be slippery following rain.

Great Stay Overall
This was our second time renting a VRBO in Kauai and we enjoyed our stay at Pumana. The only hiccups we had were a miscommunication about parking and there were a bit more little ants than we expected. We made an effort to keep the kitchen countera clean, but there were little ants regardless. To be expected in a tropic climate, especially with the louver windows. The living room A/C and fans worked great. I can't speak for the master bedroom as we stayed in the green room, but the A/C in the smaller bedroom had a hard time keeping up despite it being a smaller room. Enjoyed using the washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen (could use more food storage containers and baggies/foil/plastic wrap), and the beach and snorkel supplies. We also were bummed that there was no jacuzzi at Pumana, but definitely not a deal breaker for the price and experience. Got to experience lots of wildlife outside our door including chickens, Kane frogs, gecko/lizards, and cats. Thanks for having us!

Loved the cozy beds, a/c, and laundry in unit. North shore is beautiful. Wish it wasn’t such a drive back into town on the east and south shores, but no matter what you’re still only 1.5 hours or less from almost everything on the island. We had a wonderful week in Kauai.

Our family had a great stay here. There were four parking spots for building 25 residents, and you can park for free in one of those four designated spots. We really appreciated the thoughtful, homey touches like the stacks of Kauai guidebooks, decorative pieces, tea bags, coffee, and all the cooking essentials in the kitchen, and large drying rack in the back for our towels and swimsuits. It was extremely clean and roomy. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Wi-fi worked well for us. It was very convenient to have the washer and dryer in the unit. I contacted the owner ahead of time and was informed they don’t provide laundry detergent; however, previous guests may leave some behind which is the case for us. They only provide starter shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms, so if you are staying longer than a couple of days, you should consider bringing your own or plan to buy some locally. We also took full advantage of the lanai closet stuffed to the brim with snorkels, fins, three beach chairs, a beach umbrella, water shoes, coolers, and pool noodles. The only downside was that there weren’t a lot of restaurant options nearby that were open when we needed to get dinner between 5-7pm. The Foodland in the Princeville Shopping Center right by the entrance to Princeville was nice, but we had better luck driving further west to the cute tourist town of Hanalei to kayak and paddle-board on the Hanalei River, which ended up being one of our favorite activities in Kauai. Anini Beach near the rental was very peaceful and would be a great place to bring a packed lunch. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here.

Nice Condo for Families
Nice well stocked condo that was perfect for my family of three. Located close to a market and within walking distance to Wyllie's Beach. Beds were comfortable and there were coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear to use which was great. Small gripe is that back main bedroom got hot in the afternoon and was tough to cool down by bedtime even with ac unit. It wasn't that big a deal and all in all we had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Condo was so clean and very nicely decorated Good location. A mistake I read when I booked I thought it said sleeps 6 and it only sleeps 4. My 27 yr old grandson had to sleep on the couch. No worries he was fine. The pool was closed for maintenance and the beach is not accessible. But as for the condo and host they were beyond wonderful. Games to play lots of beach gear very fun place to stay. Jana has thought of everything a family would like to do just relaxing the day away. Great location, quiet community, well-supplied. We had a problem with tiny ants that were everywhere in the kitchen from the moment we checked in. It was a Saturday and we immediately called and left a message with the property manager. Ants also in the bathrooms. Suffice it to say that the property manager's communications were terrible and reflected zero interest in addressing the problem. On our next to last day, someone finally offered to send a maintenance person over to take a look, but we did not want to interrupt our last day as we already has adopted strategies not to leave any food item unsecured.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is nicely furnished. There was everything that you would need. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of square footage. The only negative I can find is that the pool seemed small. The fact is that the North Shore has so much to see and do, that we never used the pool. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Tips: If you want to park at Ke'e Beech or hike the trail, you must pre-pay for a parking space on line and they sell out fast. Check the park's website.

Perfect North Shore Location
Let me start by mentioning Jana's condo is perfectly located for any North Shore adventure! We were 10 mins away from Hanalei and within minutes of several beaches. Though we tried to get what we could at Farmer's Market's, it was so nice to have a Foodland just 3-5 minutes away. The condo is just 15 mins away from Kilauea. Jana's condo was perfect for our family (three adults and a toddler)! I loved being able to prepare breakfast and dinner in the kitchen (which was fully stocked with cutlery, pots & pans, and some small appliances). From my perspective, the Master bedroom is larger than the listing photo. I was pleasantly surprised! In the master, there are beautifully high ceilings with windows that make the room feel spacious and open. And the king size bed was extremely cozy and welcomed after a full day chasing a toddler around the beach. Also, there was plenty of storage space for clothes and suitcases in both bedrooms. We stayed at Jana's condo in May, so we didn't need the A/C in the living room too much, but it sure was pleasant to have it available in the bedrooms (esp at bedtime). The condo was immaculately clean when we arrived and because of the dishwasher, outside drying rack and in-unit laundry it was easy to keep it clean. And, we LOVED having breakfast on the front patio, esp on rainy mornings. Very relaxing! We truly felt so comfortable, safe and welcomed in the space. I would highly recommend this space for small families or couples.
