We told the guest that our premises is going through major repairs and painting of exterior building so we offered her not to rent it . The guest was old lady with mental instable negative attitude for everything.The room facility was in perfect condition and we have physical key system but her hands were not stable to hold key properly.

For starters it was misnamed. The sign said Princeton Motel. Then the management was unkempt, sloppy and difficult to understand. The room was furnished with garage or rummage sale bedding which appeared to be unclean. The pillowcases were disgusting. The 2 chairs were stained, filthy, sticky, and tacky. The few towels we had appeared to be from a rummage sale. There was one small package of hand soap and a quarter full container of liquid hand soap. The toilet bowl had a dirty black ring. The toilet tank had been repaired with some kind of gray epoxy. Thhe sink drain was exposed and the stopper uinusable. There was 1 very small wastebasket. The walls had holes that were unrepaired and unpainted. There was a washer and dryer . The washing machine was missing its front panel so the tub was exposed. There was no phone in the room with which to call emergency services. There was no ice machine.

If one person have so many issues , that means there is something wrong with the mentality of that person. It looks like the guest have fault finding habit. Why don't you bring the matter to the manager right away and He would have solved all your problems by changing your room.There was nothing wrong with the room but the expectations of the guest was too much and the negative approach to everything.The ice machine is in the Linen Room and we serve the ice to every guest including the one who is complaining illogically.There are 3 sets of washing machine and Dryer on both the floors . The repairman was working on one washing machine and told us to keep front portion open to replace one part.All other complaints have no validity but the mental issue with the guest.

So-so place.
It just felt grimy in the room. Shower curtain had dead flies stuck to it ( in the inside of the curtain) . Table not washed up and dresser drawers had stuff in them. People live at this motel. Bed was comfortable enough. One night was enough for a lifetime.

This place is probably the shadiest hotel I have ever been in. The owner seemed very nice but the place was rigged up with scotch tape and furniture purchased from a street curb.

Well, we did NOT see any scotch tape anywhere and the furniture is not modern but well maintained. The bathroom was newly made. The beds are pretty comfortable . The AC , refrigerator and microwave are new. The room is nicely painted. It is simple and not luxurious but the price is very reasonable.

The guest was perfectly in good shape and was very thankful for the services. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The AC was working good and the bathroom was nice and clean. There was no reason to get that remark.

The room was dirty at check in- used soap and dirty floors. There were ants. The free breakfast was odds and ends (a bag of chips, a donut, a cookie, bag of popcorn, apples) in a bottom cupboard.

Our Free Continental Breakfast includes lot of items such as donuts, muffins, variety of chips, variety of cookies, popcorns, bread butter and cheese , variety of cereals in small boxes, variety of fruits like bananas. apples, oranges , grapes , pineapples etc. AND coffee, milk , variety of juices and water bottles. The room was absolutely in good shape when given to the guest and it was shown to them before handing over the key, they were happy and said everything was fine. In addition , we always tell them if they need anything extra or to change something , we are more than happy to accommodate. And there was no issue during their stay of 2 days. Plus we help them to fix their trailer lights also.

Old run down and dirty. Hard bed,flat pillows. No amenities. Owner is nice. That’s about it. I would not stay here again. In fact I almost took the loss and left. Only stayed because I was tired. Didn’t sleep well at all 😟

It is sad to know that you do everything right to keep the guests happy BUT some people takes everything good in their stride and on the top of it, they blame others for everything wrong in their life. It is their NEGATIVE ATTITUDE which makes them unhappy everywhere. This guest is the true example of that Negative Attitude even if everything is right. The rooms are recently renovated with tiles , new paint and new beds. It was firm bed and nice pillows and it was explained to them. All the amenities were there and we asked more than 5 times if they need anything else and if everything is comfortable. In fact, we offered upgrade for room with 2 beds without any extra charge but they were happy with the room.

The room was clean and what we needed~ a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep in for the weekend. What stood out the most was the customer service. The hospitality was amazing. I enjoy personable people, and that’s what we got. We were running late for check in and this gentleman called me to make sure I was coming vs locking the doors and leaving without a care. He checked in with me whenever I’d pass him in the hall and I appreciated that.

There is nothing wrong with it. All the doors are 2 locks...one deadbolt and key entry lock. The door is strong and to make it stronger, it's having extra heavy screws with nut bolts so that the naughty guests cannot play around with the doors for the safety and security.

We allow you to check in at 11am and at that time only handicapped room was available which you took it pleasantly and you were pretty happy with the bed which was specially designed for the wheel chair persons with double mattress and it was very comfortable according to you. There were absolutely no bugs . You have no complaints when you were here for 24 hours . Thank you for staying.

We arrived late due to a problem with the flight and the rental car. Whrn we got to the motel, the door was locked and the phone the landline phone that said "call for assiatnce" was dead. We had to find another room for the night. Man at the motel said he could not refund the charge as it was Expedia policy to not refund. Drywall dust in the bathrrom, but it did not appear there was much effort in trying to update. I really believe I am due a refund for the one night. I will not ever stay here again.

Sorry for the inconvenience due to your very late arrival after midnight at 1-1.30 am . Nowadays all the motels in our area close the doors before midnight . But the guest have option to use their own mobile phones from outside to call the motel directly. The phone company have undertaken some repairs after midnight so the internal phone was inoperative for some time but the mobile was working well . Why the guest never chose to try the direct number???

There was no internal lock on the door. Paint was peeling from the ceiling. Trash was left in the room from the previous occupant. The sheets and pillow cases were all mismatched.

Sorry for the inconvenience. There are 2 locks on every door. One is for the key to open the door from outside and from inside there is a round button to lock from inside. Another lock is dead bolt which locks from inside only. So there was no question of not having internal lock . There are 2 internal locks for every door. The ceiling paint in the bathroom gets wet from the misuse of the shower and the steam from hot water so it look like peeling off but there are 3 layers of paint and primer on the bottom of the surface. The bed sheets are light off white cream color and pillow covers are little darker color which is NOT mismatch but it is a color contrast which is modern thing. The room was nice and clean. Bed sheets were clean and blankets were warm and good matching with bed sheets. AC was working good. The TV was having hundreds channels. The water was nice and warm enough to give relaxing feeling after shower. The room was big and you get good sleep. There was hot coffee and enough food to eat. What else you need !

Poor establishment.
Bare minimum was offered. Floor was dirty, lavatory faucet leaked, the shower did not work that I had to fix, the so called continental breakfast was weak coffee without cream, the non-smoking room smelled of smoke and someone played their tv all night with a yapping dog. Only thing good to say is the proprietor was very personable.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The room was recently renovated with new marble tiles with new beds and new bathroom with toilet . There was no question of leakage or floor being dirty. We always ask guests after 15 -20 minutes of check in to make sure everything is comfortable and nice. Moreover, we always offer another room if guest is not comfortable in that room . After corona times, we put all kinds of breakfast with cream , sugar and milk in a close door food storage cabinet under the coffee machine which we always show to all the guests.

I got just what I needed- a cheap place to stay on a busy Saturday night when everyone else was either booked or charging $300 a night. It’s by no means a nice place but everything worked and the manager was nice. I had to make a same day room reservation and got there at 11:20pm

The room was full of ants. We were not able to use the shower because there was hair in the bath tub and surround. Soap dish still had remnants of old soap. Linen was disgusting, we purchased blankets at a near by Wal-Mart. Wifi was unavailable because the siganl was to weak as we were the last room down the hall. Ice Machine not working. The room had a strong odor of smoke. Thankfully the AC and TV worked.

The room was newly renovated with tiles , paints and brand new bathroom and sink. There was no chance of getting ants in any of our rooms unless guests themselves unknowingly brings with them with their food stuff. The beds are brand new and we have not yet removed the plastics covering also so there is no question of bad linens . Secondly, our manager always asked all the guests after an hour or two if everything is ok or anything is missing. If something is wrong , the guest should come forward and get the things in the right way. If she would have come forward , we would have offer her another room immediately. We have shifted the ice machine towards front desk area so we always tell every guest that ice machine in the back lobby is not working and new machine is near the front desk. The guest checked out at 12.30 noon instead of regular 11 am checkout. And they were happy at that time for the room and the facilities. We sincerely feel that somehow for no reason whatsoever , the said guest is showing displeasure for some flimsy issues.

All the rooms are renovated with marble tiles and newly painted walls with new beds. The passage and the front and back lobbies are also fully tiled and painted. It is old but renovated nicely. And the pricing is subject to location and availability. We think our guest needs to rethink about his mental evaluation.

When everything is not good according to him , then why he stayed for full day and night and check out 1 hour late at noon?? In fact , there was nothing wrong with anything but he wants to change the comforter which we did it without delay. The toilet and bedsheets were absolutely clean. It was a windy day due to onset of fall so some dust was on the window seal which we told him would blew away on its own. But still he thought of ashes which it was not. We are taught in marketing that customer is always right BUT after seeing this type of wrong customers , we feel that customer isniot always right.

Negatives: When we checked in, we were told to not jump from the window. Filthy hotel! Floors were gritty. Dust all over the furniture. The bed had dirt and hairs between the sheets. I asked for complete new bedding. The door to the bathroom locks from the room (not inside the bathroom). Also the night clerk came and jiggled our doorknob instead of knocking. It was creepy. There were a lot of loud bangs and yelling at night. When I woke, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke even though the top floor was non-smoking. Positives: given cold bottles of water and clean bedsheets. Information: there are no elevators; if you are on the second floor make a couple trips if you have a lot of stuff to bring in. I know you get what you pay for, but I’ve had better experiences at this price range.

We have already offered the guest a room on the main floor when we saw truckload of luggage for just one night but she refused. She was very tired but very adamant for the situation. There was NO loud bangs or yelling. The motel was fully occupied and people were walking and talking as usual but the guest was annoyed for no reason. The Bathroom door locks from inside and outside knob was for opening but she took it opposite way. We are ready to accommodate the guests but there should be valid reasons. But if the guests are having their own stress and blame others for no reason then they need mental check up rather than passing the buck of their stress to others. And we are easy scapegoats. We always offer the guests 10-15 minutes window time to return the room if for any reason they are not happy. But some people just enjoy to crib and complain which is their way of relieving the stress.

I would pass if I were you
The place was outdated, noisy and not very clean. It was no way worth 100 dollars per room per night. The air conditioning worked well but otherwise I was not impressed. The floor and bathtub were dirty, zero amenities except a very thin single bar of soap. The ice machine didn’t even work. The manager was very nice but I would absolutely never stay there again, especially at that outrageous price.

All the rooms are renovated with new flooring and paint. We provide ice at the counter. All the toiletries items were there . And the beds are new and nice. All the hotels in summer time are full of activities and lot of people coming and going so it's not going to be absolutely quiet especially with the kids. Thank you for staying.

First off, the big huge outdoor sign on the outside of the building said it was the Princeton Inn. Which made it very confusing to even find the place. We didn't know if we were even at the right motel until we stopped in and asked the attendant if we were at the Rum River Motel. The building was very old and outdated and in poor condition. Cigarette butts littered the area around the front door. The attendant spoke very poor English and was very hard to understand. The metal key for our room wouldn't unlock the door. So we had to go get the attendant to come up and show us how to unlock the door. He had to wiggle it and jiggle it and then finally had to pull it out a little to make it work. The carpet on the floor of our room was filthy dirty. There was no remote for the TV in the room so we had to go get the attendant to bring one up which he promptly did but then he had to go back down and get another one or put batteries in the first one and come back up a third time d time to get it to work. The air conditioner in the room could not be regulated. It was either on or you had to unplug it from the wall to get it to turn off. It ran all night the first night until we got so cold we got up and unplugged it. The bathroom was very small but the shower actually worked and had hot water, although there was not a stopper for the sink. There was also not one place to hang clothes on a hanger in the room. There was no phone in the room. It should be closed down!!!!

Sorry for the delay in reply. But the essay was so long and complex that we can't make out whether the guest is complimenting or complaining or both. The AC is working too good and the shower is good .No complaints for bed or towels or sink or windows or TV. The carpet is newly put up and the remote was working but the code was changed so the manager has gone down to get new code. All the bathrooms are standard size so no point of complaining. Anyway, all the compliments are welcome and we will work on your legitimate complains to make it better. Now you can rest in peace.

The manager was friendly BUT the keys for our two rooms didn't work in the outside doors and very difficult to use in our doors. NO coffee, phone, hair dryer. Sorry for the inconvenience. There was automatic coffee machine for 24 hours and the continental breakfast is kept under coffee table which we always tell the guests when they check in which sometimes the guests forget it. During the corona times, we keep the breakfast and coffee under the coffee table as per rules . The rooms reserved for these guests were on the second floor but at the last minute of late check in , they insisted for the rooms on the main floor which were newly renovated hence the keys were new. The guests stated that the manager was friendly then why they did not ask for the extra items which we would be more than happy to serve it. The parking lot was not well lit and when I got inside there was no one at the front desk-just a sign to call. They had left several keys hidden in the lobby that I could grab, but no one ever came back to the front desk to fully check in. The room itself was cold and appeared clean until I pulled back the covers and found hair on the pillows and crumbs in the bed. No phone in the room to call anyone for new bedding and no one at the

Sorry for the inconvenience but because of covid situation , we prefer to have communication through the phone only. We tried to knock at the door couple of times but nobody answered so we don't want to disturb the guests . There is a phone at the desk and the sign to call for the service which we request our guests to use it. Our staff do not prefer to have direct contact with unknown guests who are here for a day or two because of the severe pandemic situation which we expect our guests to understand. Motel Evaluation
Motel was old and need of updating/repair. The bedding had cigarette holes and was stained. the room/bathroom was clean and bedding was washed when we asked. The manager was very helpful and eager to please. Reputation of this motel was very bad with the locals. Office hours were not maintained and only a phone for service was available. Continental breakfast was not available and when asked, only a bagged pastry was given. On the morning when we leaving, manager did not show up until 10am.

Most of the guests forget that during this pandemic times, there are so many restrictions imposed by the Govt. order to prevent the spreading of corona. No food products are allowed to be served. Personal contacts and lobby services are minimum so we encourage them to use the phone service. There was a big spike in Covid 19 cases in our state of Minnesota. But the guests still expects same type of service which was given before corona times. We keep some special rooms for Expedia guests but our well travelled dear guest was insisting for staying in the disabled room which was recently vacated after one year and it needs some repair work which was explained to him. But he kindly insisted to stay in the same room despite of offer to stay in new rooms. Our 90% of the guests are local and staying for long term which explains our good reputation. So we humbly disagree with our guest's personal opinion who is visiting for a day or two.

It was a newly painted and tiled recently. It is a newly renovated room. If you would have asked for another room then it would be good for you. Sorry for the inconvenience.
