Dating back to the early 1800s, this detached, stone-built former shippon provides beautifully presented accommodation, and offers plenty of charm and character as well as having all the modern comforts to be expected from a holiday home, including open plan living, underfloor heating, wood burner and Wi-Fi. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and is perfect for a couple looking for a comfortable base from which to explore all that the area has to offer.

    The property is located in the small hamlet of Whitechapel below the foot of Beacon Fell Country Park. Close to Garstang and Longridge, gateway towns to the Forest of Bowland designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is ideal for those who love the great outdoors with some of the best walking and cycling opportunities in Lancashire. The area invites you to enjoy birdwatching, fishing and golf too.

    Whilst the property enjoys a quiet rural location, it is very accessible and there are lots to see and do within easy driving distance. Approximately 30 minutes away is the bustling market town of Clitheroe with its hilltop castle and nearby Pendle Hill or the university town of Lancaster, is 17 miles, with its aqueduct and castle. Preston, 10 miles away, has many shops and a mainline train station for London and Glasgow.

    For those who enjoy the seaside, the Fylde Coast, with popular resorts including Blackpool with its beach, piers, pleasure beach and famous tower, and Lytham St Annes, is just 30 minutes away. The Lake District can be reached in under an hour and the Yorkshire Dales in just over an hour, making this the ideal touring base. Local markets and farm tea shops abound or relax in a cosy local pub to enjoy Lancashire food and drink. Shops and restaurants are plentiful, pub 1 mile, family church 1 mile. Local cheese producers abound, visit the local shops for a holiday treat.
