"The property was a 10! Beautiful home and surrounding area. We spent much of our time swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in the pond. It was such a peacful and relaxing vacation. My daughter is allergic to dogs and the owners or former tenants must have had dogs in the home so she did have an allergic reaction when we first arrived, but other than that the trip was wonderful!"

"This property was amazing. My family and I wanted a quiet base of operation for our daily hiking expeditions (we went in the summer), and that is exactly what we got with this property.My wife and I started our mornings drinking coffee on the front porch while watching the bumblebees and hummingbirds do their thing and see the occasional deer or two steal some fallen apples from the trees on the side of the property. The road out front may have a car or two pass by in the hour we were out there, but otherwise only the flapping of wings was the soundtrack of our mornings.If you are the type of person that enjoys basking in the sun in the morning, the back porch is the perfect spot to watch the sun crest over the mountains and the possibility to see a beaver (or goundhog? It was hard to tell) and I'm sure the bees and birds like the flowering plants back there as well.I can't really speak to the the state of the house during the afternoons, as we were spending way too much time out of the house having fun with the plethora of activities in the area.As for nights: If you like it dark and want to see a lot of stars, this is the place for you! I'd like to note, though, that the darkness around you in EVERY direction may make you start hearing things that are not actually out there. One that that may be out there is a cat that I think lives at this house usually. He seemed very nice, but hearing the "rawr" in the darkness was a little unsettling until we saw the little guy."

"This cabin has a lot of space and is very comfortable. It is close to all the adventures waiting in the Catskills. I rode my bike on the Catskill scenic trail and my wife enjoyed lunch at the nearby and excellent pizza plus. We really felt settled in this cabin. Trips to waterfalls were short and hiking trailheads were all around us. We were able to reach out to the host and have them respond quickly. Overall excellent experience aside from the weather."

"Excellent stay - this place is a little piece of heaven in the mountains - very well equipped, spacious, and incredibly cozy. Plenty of firewood in the wood stove to keep us warm, linens and towels were clean and in great supply, and kitchen was well stock. -7 degrees outside, but we had a blast here and highly recommend!"

"Great hosts who were responsive to our questions or needs. House was very comfortable. The sun porch looks inviting but not a winter amenity!One suggestion, as mentioned by others, is the need for better lighting especially during winter stays when days are darkest and shorter. We would be happy to rent this place again. "
