"A perfect weekend getaway from Auckland, remote yet not far. Located at the extreme tip of the headland makes for a dramatic setting and views, with the sea below excellent for swimming and the surreal sandy landscape is very memorable. The cottage is clean, cosy and full of character and situated in an idyllic garden. Sharon were friendly, showed us the ropes and left us alone."

"Lovely accommodating host. Provided fresh free range eggs and fruits from the property, and welcomed us to help ourselves to fruits/ veges from the garden and eggs from the chickens.Spa pool wasn't available while we were there, possibly due to the recent adverse weather conditions. Spacious home, possibly mid-reno in places so there's a mix of older and newer features - needed a little fiddling with the older shower to achieve a comfortable water temp.Plenty of space for 13 of us, kids loved running around outside. Overall, a great stay."
