The breakfast is very nice and the staff is very friendly. We (including our 9yo dog) enjoyed our stay here. The only thing to note is that there are quite some stairs so if you’re mobility constraint, it might not be a good choice.

The Inn at St John in Portland is a gem! I will always stay there. It is conveniently located, includes parking, and the facility is simply beautiful. They had lots of little niceties to make us feel spoiled. As a traveler I look forward to coming back there!

Lovely hotel with great service!

Lovely old Victorian building with lots of stairs. The room was sizeable and well appointed. Management was friendly and helpful when my plans changed abruptly. I will stay here again next time my travels take me to Portland.

Downtown was a quick 5 minute uber drive. I didn't think it was safe to walk though. The Inn was nice. The staff was great! I felt the room doors could've had a better lock. Think Inn not major chain hotel.

This is an old, budget hotel with wonderful staff. The bathrooms are down the hall and the rooms are old and worn. But if you don’t mind that and are looking for a low price, this is a good spot. Staff is excellent.

What a great find! We had a wonderful stay on our mother/daughter road trip, stopped in Portland for 2 nights. The front desk staff was so welcoming/friendly. Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king room with private bathroom, so spacious!

This property is threadbare, the mattress seemingly old, creaky and lacking firmness. No room for three peope tp have breakfast together. Very overpriced accomodations. Should have stayed at the Westin.
