"We stumbled upon this place a couple years ago and now going in the fall has become an annual tradition. It’s such a fun place with so much to do on-site (pool, mini golf, we love the Brown Swan for dinner, smores kits, etc) and just a short walk into town for delicious coffee at 9 Mile and more good food. We’ve found some great hiking nearby too, and this time saw a bear on our drive up to the Buffalo farm which was an added bonus. The price has increased significantly since we went last year but it seems like they have added live music, more activities and more staff so maybe that’s why. I love it here, it’s my favorite place in the ADKs- I have recommended it to so many people and already booked for next year! "

"A true gem! What an unexpected treasure! We loved staying here. Great room and loved the record player. We had heard how nice the rooms were so the real surprise was the restaurant. Quite high end preparation, delicious food, great service and all wrapped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We’ll be back soon. "

"We really enjoyed our visit here. It was clear that the hosts had put in a lot of work to make this place fully ready and amenable for their guests. They provided a lot of firewood and already had a fire built in a nice stone fire pit for us. The cabin had a beautiful porch which is covered that allowed us to sit outside with our coffee (there was a coffee maker!) even on a rainy morning. There are also plenty of outlets if you need to charge any devices, but the location runs on solar power, so conserving electricity was important. The cabin is unheated, though it retained heat well and nights/mornings were still comfortable. There also is no service - which is a plus if you choose to look at it that way. There was an outdoor shower and a porta-potty, both of which were clean and well stocked.Things we think future guests might want to know (though not complaints): the road up to the cabin is significantly steep, and if your vehicle doesn’t typically go off-road, it might be a challenge. You are away from other people if you stay here, we were alone the whole time, but the road is within about 100 yards of a main road and cars were going by regularly within sight. That’s not something we fault the hosts for, everything was very nice and you can’t tell the cars to be quiet, but if you are expecting to be in the middle of nowhere the sound of the vehicles going by can be sobering."

"Alexandra and Anthonie were both super nice and friendly. When we arrived, they gave us a rundown of nearby restaurants to go and have dinner. Then showed us to our room and amenities. Room and bathroom were clean and comfy, wifi was fast there were extra pillows and blankets if needed. The area around the Inn is very cute, my girlfriend and i went for a walk in the nearby park in the morning and visited the Inn bookstore (we ended up buying 5 books lol). My only complaint is since our window was facing the main street, and the speed limit is I think 40mph, the cars were quite loud at night. I wanted to have the window open to feel the breeze and have some fresh air, but had to close it due to the noise. Not much that can be done by the Inn though."
