Our stay at the Strong House Inn was lovely. The facilities are beautiful. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners wonderful people. They gave us great suggestions for our time in the area.

Fabulous B&B in Vermont! Hosts were kind, bed comfy, and the breakfast delicious! Would stay again. Area is typical Vermont- vast green space with little else happening. Wonderful place to stay while driving through the state.

Very nice room! Quiet and convenient parking. Breakfast was fantastic with eggs Benedict and a blueberry French toast strudel. We stayed at the end of the season but highly recommended the restaurant at the Basin Harbor

Our stay was wonderful! The room was beautifully equipped with a fireplace and a balcony, adding to the charm. The welcome from the owners, Amy and DJ, was incredibly warm and friendly. Breakfast, prepared by Amy and DJ, was absolutely delicious. I would gladly stay here again anytime. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Excellent bed, shower, and breakfast so it hit my big B&B 3. It’s beautiful setting, not too fancy, but more than homey. The owners were friendly and down to earth, loved their well behaved dog. Lovely antiques throughout and thoughtful touches like an instant hot water faucet for tea which was easy to access, wine glasses and bottle opener in your room, samples of shampoo bars which encourage people (I hope) to eliminate some single use plastic. Close to Burlington, minutes from Vergennes village. I would stay again.

The Strong House Inn is an absolute treasure. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, attentive, accommodating and professional. Breakfast was included but easily could have charged $15 per person - everything was so delicious - better than most breakfast restaurants. They also served coffee (best coffee I've had in a long time) and orange juice with the meal. The grounds are serene and breathtaking. Beautiful, mature landscaping in a quaint setting. There's a nice farm view across the street. (There was a slight odor, but the flowers did a good job of masking most of it). We stayed in the Sheraton room. We were very impressed with the quality of the mattress, pillows and bedding. The room is on the central AC so it stayed very comfortable despite unusually high temperatures for May. There was even a box fan in the closet. (I prefer to sleep with a fan so that was a nice surprise). I highly recommend this property.

Weekend stay

Even though our room wasn’t ready and we had to be at a wake by 5 the owner let us into another room to get ready had us leave our bags and she brought them to our room for us. Our room was beautiful. The owners were amazing and very welcoming. Their new puppy was absolutely adorable and very friendly. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here

Great B & B

Amy and DJ are the best hosts. The breakfasts were tasty and there was always plenty of coffee. They always had suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Check-in & checkout were easy. The room was clean. We stayed in the separate building so it would be a little more quiet. Note that breakfast was served in the main building, so you'll need to bundle up in winter. We would stay again.

It was neat staying in a building that was built in 1830. But our unit’s restroom was just too small for 6’2” person. (On the other hand, that restroom is scheduled to be remodeled and enlarged soon! 🤓) Other than that, our stay at Strong House was just fine!

Very nice innkeepers; good breakfast; nicely located between Burlington and Middlebury; it is an older inn and its furnishings reflect that, but the beds are new and very comfortable; we'll stay here again.
