Culver House Hotel

"A lovely little apartment, with all one needs for self catering included, absurdly close to the beach and the pub. I was in apartment 7. The apartment is actually quite a good size and could comfortably accommodate one or two people. There is a small, en-suite bathroom with shower (no bath) and a large sitting/dining room with small kitchen area. You can come and go as you please with the electronic key fob provided and literally paces from the building you are in the dunes and then on the beach. Paces in the other direction and you are outside the local pub (which doesn’t seem to be particularly noisy late in the evening). I have two tiny criticisms, probably both associated with being on the top floor of a three floor building. The water pressure in the shower was not great. Enough to have a functional shower but not very strong. And, on booking the apartment on Expedia, the only picture of a balcony that I saw was actually one of the balconies from the floor below, which are much bigger and have furniture on them. When I got there I discovered that, on the top floor, the balconies are much smaller and clearly only made for standing on, though I could have moved one of the dining room chairs out there if I’d wanted to. You couldn’t get a couple sitting out there though. I’m not-picking though. All-in-all a great place to base yourself for chilling on the beach or exploring the rest of the Gower Peninsula from."

"Per friendly, dog loved being right on the beach. Clean. Great location. Lovely bed room and bathroom. Well maintained property. Check-in and out process a little clunky due to no at property parking, but instructions for managing that were very clear and only a challenge if you have lots of stuff. Overall a great stay, would recommend."

"Photos don't do it justice - so much space! Stayed for four nights with my Dad and brother, we are all 6 foot + and I was a bit concerned it would be pokey. Not at all, the opposite. Terrace was lovely, great to watch the birds, rabbits and hedgehogs. Imagine that in summer it would be a proper little suntrap! Couple of minutes from the beach and five/ten on the beach or a path to Port Eynon. We would love to come back. For the price, it was perfect, and helped us make some lovely memories in the Gower. The most beautiful part of the UK that I have seen!"

"What a beautiful house! Absolutely stunning design and decor, the pictures do not do it justice. The house was spotless, with almost everything we needed! The beds are incredibly comfortable, bathrooms beautiful, and sea views from all but one of the bedrooms was the cherry on the cake! The location is superb - only a few minutes by foot from the beautiful Horton beach (downhill on the way there, uphill on the way back!), which is dog-friendly year-round, sandy and great for swimming (if a little chilly!). The company who support the property were very responsive to messages - there was a problem with the outside lights and they sent someone out to look at it the same day. We would love to return, it was perfect for our large family group and I would happily recommend!"
