Mikaela's Corner is an independent part of a house with a rural environment, recommended for hikers, sports practitioners and those who want to stay away from urban centres.
The accommodation has a floor area of approximately 45 m2 and includes a bedroom with a double bed (1.60 m wide), a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, a small living room, and a kitchen with a dining table.
Outside, it has a spacious veranda with sun loungers and a table for outdoor meals.
The accommodation is equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine, vitroceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, television with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.
LOCATION
The accommodation is located in a rural area 450 m above sea level and 6 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafés.
About 500 m away, there is a restaurant and café, and 2 km away, there is a supermarket.
Access from the main road to the accommodation is via 80 metres of a concrete-paved path and a small staircase to the upper floor of the house.
Ponta do Sol is located in the southwest part of the island, which has the best climatic conditions in Madeira.
A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers.
For hikers and mountain bikers, recommended walking routes and mountain bike trails are available a few kilometres away, namely in Paul da Serra.
OBSERVATIONS
A car is recommended for this location. The accommodation does not have private parking, but it is possible to park for free on the roadside.
Guests have access to the apartment on the upper floor of the house and its respective balcony. The lower floor is reserved for the owner.
As it is a rural area, there is potential for noise caused by dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties. There are also insects in the surroundings that may be attracted by food remains.
Cleaning is done before guests' arrival and there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes changing bed linen and towels.
An increase in the number of guests implies a price increase of up to 10% per person.
CONDITIONS
1. Parties and behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not permitted, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.
2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and mode of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.
3. Self check-in with flexible arrival time is available through a key safe whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For in-person check-in, scheduling of time is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time may be scheduled according to our availability.

Very friendly people, quick to respond to requests. Well equipped kitchen.
Road construction made use walk 300m through mud, making both the car and house dirty, it would have been better to warn us up front. House should improve much with parking and finished road.
House had some crumbling furniture.
Eine kleine wunderschöne Ferienwohnung, wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten. Die Wohnung war super sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben selbst gekocht und auf der kleinen Terrasse stand der schöne Holztisch mit 4 Stühlen. Beim Essen konnten wir den weiten Blick aufs Meer genießen. Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 350m über dem Meer. Die Anfahrt ist für Geübte, aber das ist man von alleine bereits nach 2 Tagen im Leihwagen auf dieser schönen Insel. Unsere Kinder 14 und 18, waren von der Lage begeistert. Das Anwesen hat einen üppigen Garten unterhalb der Terrasse. Die Nachbarn bewirtschaften Ihre Gärten für den Eigenbedarf. Bis zum Strand fährt man ca. 15min bergab. Gepäck auf Rollen bietet sich an. Zu Fuß ist ein Restaurant und Bar bequem zu erreichen. Dort waren viele Einheimische. Sehr nett dort.
Die Verwalterin war sehr engagiert, hat sich um alles sofort und zuverlässig gekümmert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
